Good Morning everyone! Hope all of you had a great weekend! I was in Hermosa Beach, California for a long weekend, and had the best time! I went out there to meet up with three other bloggers to work on a collaboration. The one that I have actually met before, Deborah Boland, of Fabulous After 40 ended up sick and not able to come (she was so missed!). The other two, Catherine Grace O’Connell, of Catherine Grace O, and Shauna Robertson of Chic Over 50 are my new best friends! Like I said, we have never met in person, but it was a special weekend!

I actually stayed with Catherine and her sweet boyfriend, Mike, and Shauna was around the corner in a hotel. My mom actually thought it was so weird for me to go and stay with someone I didn’t know, but I knew Catherine from her instagram, and she is actually lovelier in person. She is the most hospitable and caring person I think I have ever met! ¬†You know when you meet someone and you just click…that was how it was with these two girls. They inspired me all weekend long!

Catherine is so passionate about her blog and inspiring women over 50. She had an idea and asked Shauna and I to come out and help her with it. I’m going to stay a little mum about it right now, but if you are over 50, you will be proud of what she has thought of.

So the color block sheath dress, from Leota I have on here is adorable and I love it! It’s the perfect luncheon, work and church dress. The neckline is great with the crossover detail, and the style is so flattering. The dress is sleeveless, but it was chilly the day we shot this and I really like it with my moto jacket. It would also pair well with a cardigan or a short cropped jacket. Lazy me did not want to self tan my legs, so I chose to wear opaque tights. This dress would look great with bare legs and a strappy shoe too! I have had this for a little while, but it’s now on sale at Nordstrom Rack and it’s basically free!

I received two really amazing honors this weekend that just blew me away. You can read about them Here and Here.

Make it a great Monday! xx
