EILEEN FISHER THE SYSTEM

Hi, everyone!

How’s it going this Thursday morning?

I had such a fun girl’s night last night celebrating a birthday, but I’m dragging this morning and need a lot of coffee to get me going. Honestly, I love having a girl’s night out, but don’t always like how I feel the next day! I’m so excited to be partnering up with Eileen Fisher today! I have to admit that I had not been an Eileen Fisher customer, but after shopping the store and learning about the brand, I am now a huge convert!

I love the reason why Eileen Fisher started the company in 1984. She said she was having trouble getting dressed! As a fashion lover and blogger, you would think that I might have an easy time getting dressed, but I so understand that feeling. Sometimes (most of the time) I walk into my closet and stare because I have no idea what to wear! Anyway, Eileen was working as a graphic designer and kept seeing simple shapes for clothes in her head. She had an “aha” moment where she came up with the idea for a system of dressing that she had been searching for since her Catholic school uniform days.

The System from Eileen Fisher

I was so impressed with what I found in the store (it’s online as well), especially “The System,” which was started with 8 simple shapes with a purpose. It’s called The System because each piece works with pretty much everything in your closet. Eileen Fisher designed this way of dressing in the shapes she loves best and the fabrics (organic) that she trusts. This way of dressing means you can have the right pieces and can do more with less. To me, this is a super efficient way of getting dressed every day!

I wanted to show you all “The System,” as I’m obsessed with it. As I said above, it was combined of 8 pieces, but there are now 20 to choose from. I decided to choose the System Slouchy Pant in the silk georgette crepe and the System Long Shell in the same fabric. The pant is an easy silhouette with a tapered leg. It’s slouchy but not sloppy and has an elastic waist and slash pockets. The tank with a bateau neckline is a longer piece perfect for layering. Both pieces are made of Eileen Fisher’s signature silk georgette crepe that is responsibly dyed and bluesign certified. This fabric can easily be dressed up or down.

I wanted to show it both ways.

I wore the pieces on their own with a pair of pumps that could easily be worn to dinner, meetings, or honestly a cocktail party with the right accessories. Then, I added a sweater and my sneakers to show how perfect this is for an everyday look. Every piece in the system comes in black, navy, and bone. Also, there are tees in white and gray, making it seamless to mix and match! How amazing is this system for traveling? I may reconsider the way I dress for 2019 and make it simple with this way of dressing. Check out “The System” here.

When I was in the store, I fell in love with a lot of pieces that were not part of the system. The sweater I am wearing in this post is the softest cashmere and silk I have ever felt. I also found so many beautiful velvet pieces, like this jacket (comes in midnight blue and claret), shirt, skirt, and bag. I also think that this is a perfect LBD to have in your closet ($258) with a cool architectural design. There are so many great pieces at Eileen Fisher that I want! These may be the coolest combat boots around too!

I’m in a fashion show tonight at Tootsies in Dallas for the Kappa Kappa Gamma alumni. I did this last year, and it was so much fun. Although I am going to need a lot of concealer!

I hope you all have a great day! xx

Thank you, Eileen Fisher, for sponsoring this post!
