EMBROIDERED COTTON BLOUSE

Hi, Everyone! Hope you’ve had a great weekend and avoided the wrath of Hurricane Harvey! Sorry, I have been MIA, but moving and preparing for this trip to Italy had me a little stressed. I have been overwhelmed, to say the least! We arrived in Rome on Friday, then caught a flight to Milan. We had a quick lunch, then went on a tour to a church to see Leonardo DaVinci’s Last Supper. I get a little gaga when it comes to this kind of art. I am blown away and can’t believe I am standing in the same room that someone as great as DaVinci stood and worked in. We also saw where he lived while working on this masterpiece. This painting has so much emotion in it. After seeing the painting and church, we got in a car and headed to Lake Como. This is where we will be until tomorrow when we will head back to Milan, catch a flight to Naples, then drive to Positano. Oh my goodness, Lake Como is amazing! I have never seen such a beautiful place!

Today, I wanted to share this embroidered top with you. Of course, it would be sold out (I like this one as well and it’s on sale), but it also comes in this cute cotton shift dress that is on sale! The dress is the perfect piece to take you into fall, especially in the South. It’s 100% cotton and the color, with the black and gray embroidery, makes it feel like a fall piece. I have been noticing what all of the Italian women have on, and it’s dresses like this one and this. Do you get to a different place and want to start dressing like the women you are seeing? I want to start over in my closet and dress like the Italian women! They are so understated and chic! The sandals I have on are ones you might remember here by Katharine Page. I love how comfortable they are and that they go with anything I put on.

I’m off for lunch and a boat ride around the lake. Dying to see where George Clooney lives. If we spot it, I will put it on my Instastory. Hope you all have a great and relaxing Sunday! xx
