FARM RIO DRESS

Hello, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and a Happy Mother’s Day! Man, oh man, do I have some wild women in my family! I mentioned that some of my family members were out of town for Mother’s Day, including my husband and daughter. My husband went to Alabama to spend some time with his mother, and my daughter and her family were in LA, which left my younger son and his wife, my mom, and my daughter-in-law’s mom. I was left alone with the wildest ones (my mom!), but boy, was it fun! My husband was gone for five nights, and I went out every single one of them! I’m exhausted, but you only live once, right?

I wrote about my love of Farm Rio last summer, and now that it is officially summer here (already in the 90s, and the mosquitoes are out…uggghhh!), it’s time to pull out my newest Farm Rio dress. I love Farm Rio because of their cute styles, but who doesn’t love their prints? They are so fun and happy, and most are under $300! From bananas to polka dot prints, they exude summer fun and playfulness! This dress is a pullover style (making it easy to go from the beach to drinks) with a smocked bust and tie-shoulder straps. I went with my standby gold Gucci sandals (three years old now), but I would also wear a kitten heel with this dress. These sandals have definitely paid for themselves as much as I’ve worn them! I’ve thrown my denim jacket over the dress for all indoor spots that will feel like a meat locker now that it is hot.

I’ve mentioned that we are enclosing a screen porch and making it a sitting room off our main living space.

It is finally painted, and the floors were stained yesterday. It hasn’t been too bad, but I am ready to get everyone out and back to normal. My puppy has been a little hard to manage with so many people in and out of the house. I found her chewing on a screw and a sharp metal piece this past weekend. I thought she was smart, but now I am not so sure! Anyway, now I am waiting for the furniture and who knows when I will get it! I’ve heard so many people say they have waited almost a year. I guess an empty room is good for my little granddaughter to roll around in her walker!

I hope you all have a great day! Be well, and stay safe! xx
