FRINGE
Hi Everyone! I am in shock this morning… When I woke up about an hour ago, the sun was out! I don’t know where you live, but the rain and dreary skies are all I have seen for a while now. I felt sort of down in the dumps yesterday, and I know it has to do with the weather. We had another major storm again last night. Mother Nature put on quite a lightening show too! Isn’t it funny how your mood can be determined by the weather?
We will be heading back to Nashville on Friday and staying put there for a good while. I am having such mixed emotions about it. I think once I get there and establish a life there it will be great, but leaving family, friends and what I’ve known for the past 4 1/2 years that makes it a little sad. I also think that being away from all of my doctors (even though I see them every three months) is a little un-nerving to me. What’s so silly is that I can get on a plane at any time and be back here quickly. Moving is just emotional!
So, unless you never pick up a fashion magazine, you know how big fringe is right now and that it’s going to be big through the fall. I bought the jacket I am wearing (HAUTE HIPPIE) five years ago on sale from . It was still a bit of a splurge, but one that I had to have. I wore it a few times, and have debated over the past few years about getting rid of it. Boy am I glad I didn’t! I think it looks best paired with a flare jean. If you are considering buying a flare jean, just know that you need to wear a wedge or heel with them. They are not meant to be worn with a flat. The good news about a flare jean, is that when worn with a heel, they make your legs look really long! I know some reading this will think that fringe on a jacket like this might be too much. I get it! But, you can incorporate a small amount with a or instead of full out like I am wearing…a fringe benefit!
Have a great day, and praying for sunshine for everyone!

Hi Cathy!
You’re at Highland Park Village. My mother’s from Dallas. I’ve been there a jillion times! You look very Boho chic. So great you didn’t get rid of the fringe jacket. I know you read my post about Ken Downing, Fashion Director of Neiman’s, and saw the photos of his fashion show. You would have looked great on his runway!
