Monday, you are here again too soon! How was your weekend? We had dinner with very sweet friends on Friday night that we hadn’t seen in a while, and it was so much fun to catch up! Saturday morning, I got to go wedding dress shopping with my daughter-in-law to be and her mom. It was such a fun time being with those two special ladies! Not sure if the dress was decided on because she looked amazing in every single one! I spent the rest of the day helping my parent’s empty their home, then came home to two little monkeys who spent the night with us. We played with play doh for a long time, took a bath and watched a movie. It’s always so much fun having them here! Today, because I am drained, I wanted to talk simple and low-key, just like this outfit of a grandfather sweater and jeans is. Also, there is a giveaway to Target at the bottom of this post. Don’t forget to sign up!
Most weekends and Mondays are my days to run around, do errands and catch up. I am usually in a tee and jeans, but now that the weather is cooler, I am so excited to pull out the sweaters. The sweater I am wearing is a new favorite of mine. It’s slouchy, lightweight, and super cozy. It’s the perfect style for running around or hanging out on lazy days. It will also be a great travel piece. I got it in the clay color, but it is sold out. There are five other colors to choose from HERE, and it’s under $100. I did find this one in the same color family like mine, and this one is amazing! Cardigans are pretty easy to find and easy to wear. I love them over a turtleneck or sexy(ish) camisole. The boots I am wearing are “old as the hills,” but low and behold, snakeskin has had a resurgence and are pretty simple to find, like these. In the first couple of shots, I am wearing a pretty scarf from Talbot’s who are donating 20% of the net proceeds to benefit the National Breast Cancer Foundation to help in early detection. You know I am all about that!
The necklace I am wearing is by a jewelry designer (whose mom is one of my best friends in the world), named Jeila Martin Kershaw. Her website is Jeila Martin Jewelry. I love this circular pendant with the oxidized chain and 18K gold granules. Her pieces are fun and different and would love for you to take a look!
I am out the door early today. My little 4-year-old grandson gets to carry the cross in the chapel at school this morning, so we are going to go and watch. I hope you all have a great day! Thank you so much for reading this blog!
