BIOSSANCE
Hi, Everyone! I hope you are off to a great week! I am partnering up with Biossance today and talking about how important it is to use products that are safe for our skin. Since it is Breast Cancer Awareness month, I thought this would be a great topic of conversation. Since having breast cancer, I have been more aware of what I eat and what is put on my skin. Now, I try to be good, but I cannot say that I am good every single day. I may have wine or dessert every once in a while (okay, maybe more than every once in a while!) but, I do try to eat healthy most of the time. It’s not the most fun, but I know I am doing my body good by not eating meat, gluten, dairy, and sugar (I told you it is not fun!). It’s the same for my skin. I can’t say that I always use products that are safe (sometimes I don’t know that they are not), but I can honestly say that I know my products from Biossance are.
I had no idea that there are over 1,500 banned beauty ingredients in Europe. Do you know how many are banned in the US? Only 30! I was shocked when I read that number! Biossance bans 2,000! If you don’t know about Biossance, I highly recommend that you read about their products on their website. I have done posts on them before Here and Here that you can look at too. Don’t you sometimes assume that if you walk into a high-end store or shop on a website to purchase your skin care products that they are going to be safe? I am guilty of thinking that. Why would I assume that if I am paying $200 for an eye cream, that it would be bad for me? The cosmetic industry regulation is outdated, so it’s up to the brands to keep their standards high. That’s what Biossance does; they don’t compromise what goes into their products!
Biossance has recently re-packaged and re-named their products, but they are still the same ingredients. I have been using the Squalane + Antioxidant Cleansing Oil (formerly known as The Purifier) for about a year and a half now. I love that it hydrates and locks in essential moisture. It has eight plant derived oils and extracts that deliver vitamins to the skin and have a calming antioxidant protection. It also gently cleanses and removes makeup
Biossance only uses squalane that is 100% plant-based from sugarcane, and all of their products contain this ingredient. I am not a scientist, but I feel good knowing that Biossance is setting the bar higher and checking on ingredients so that I don’t have to! The products that I am using are ideal for every kind of skin. I am particularly fond of the Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil (formerly known as The Nourisher). This face oil, brightens, firms, and evens the look of the skin tone and texture with a stable form of Vitamin C. The Squalane + Peptide Eye Gel helps reduce the appearance of dark circles and helps with my eyes looking puffy (need this especially for those mornings when I couldn’t sleep) and the Squalane + Probiotic Gel Moisturizer helps with moisture, redness, and pore size.
Biossance products can be purchased on their website Here and also now at Sephora. Shouldn’t we consumers be confident that the products we are using on our bodies should be safe? I am thrilled that Biossance is looking after this for me! Try them out with their travel sizes. I bet you will love them!
Thank you so much to Biossance for sponsoring this post!

Have been using the cleansing oil and rose oil for about a year from your past post. I was skeptical about the oil part, but I love it and it is not like an oil I have ever used. I love Biossance. My “mature” skin feels great and the fact that the products are really all natural is a huge plus.

I’m learning new things about the importance of what we pot on our body now that I’m going through radiation treatment for breast cancer. Before I never gave it a second thought. I’m interested in the products with squalane.

I’m not aware of scientific evidence that eliminating meat, gluten, sugar, and dairy reduce breast cancer risk, or of any proven links between topical skin product and breast cancer. Can you share your research please? Thanks! Enjoy your fashion !
