Hello, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! We had a fun one with some good family time. Friday night, we went out to dinner with my daughter and then popped in on my mom and her good friend having dinner at another spot. Lord willing, I hope I am as much fun as those two women when I am in my 80’s. They meet every Friday night for drinks and dinner and laugh more than any two I have ever seen. We had a calm Saturday night, and Sunday, we had the whole crew over here for dinner. We spent most of the day on Saturday and Sunday getting my daughter’s house ready to put on the market.
GREAT DESIGNER PIECES FROM NORDSTROM
Today, I am so happy to be partnering with Nordstrom to call out some great designer pieces. Nordstrom has great designer pieces in-store and online, so much so that it was a little difficult to find pieces that were available in all sizes (women are snapping them up!). Nordstrom is killing it in the designer section, and if you see something you love, my best advice is always to purchase and try. I did, however, find a lot of great things, including this fabulous spring dress by CO. CO has been one of my favorite brands for about five years now. I was introduced to them during New York Fashion Week when I got the chance to meet the owners when I was with a buyer from a very high-end boutique. It was love at first sight with their designs. I love the minimalist approach to what they create.
CO has the coolest dress styles with that minimalist look.
I love this one I am wearing. It’s basically a shirtdress with fantastic sleeves. I have bought a few other dresses from CO in years past and have loved every one of them. Most of them in black or navy. This year, I am going to add a white dress to the mix, and I think this is the one. How great is the step hem back on the dress? I absolutely love it! This is my second choice in white for the hot Dallas summers.
Since most of us are still home much of the time, I am very much into finding those minimalist-looking pieces. I have found so many at Nordstrom that I have in my cart right now. I love this textured rib-knit pull-on skirt. It looks so comfy and easy for spring and summer. Paired with a simple white tee (my favorite) and sandals, this would be a great outfit! I also am crazy for this adorable smocked top! I have picked some of my favorite designer pieces below.
I am heading out to pump some iron this morning. And then it’s hair color day (yippee!). I have a super busy week. I have events to attend Wednesday night and Thursday morning (the first ones in a year). And I’m excited but a little apprehensive. I also have friends coming to town on Thursday, so it will be a busy weekend with some good “friend” time.
I hope you all have a great day! Stay well and safe!
