HALTER-NECK MIDI DRESS

Hi, everyone! It’s HOT! It’s supposed to be 106-107 all week here. It’s good that we are leaving for a few days to cooler temperatures. Everyone I talk to is SO over the summer and ready for Fall, but we all know it doesn’t happen here until October. Speaking of, I was in a couple of stores that already have Fall and Halloween decor out last week. I just can’t!

Since it’s still hot as Hades, I wanted to show you all a dress I bought that is perfect to wear in the heat of the summer and into September. I love this halter-neck midi dress from Madewell. This is one comfortable and cool dress with cinch-able side ties and ruffle tiers (it comes in a pretty green, too!). This dress is handy for summer dinners, lunch out, vacation strolling, and much more. I wore it with my Christian Dior Dway slides from last year (similar) and a Dior vintage bag (I love this bag from Madewell). You can wear this dress with any shoe, from sandals to heels. If you don’t like showing your arms, a draped blazer looks great over this dress.

As the stores prepare for pre-fall, there are some great sales and deals to be had, and pieces you can wear right into Fall, like this blazer. The price is unreal! I’m about to add this puffer coat to my cart. I love the color! I own this cropped blazer and love it. It’s on sale! A striped top never goes out of style; this one is super cute! I love a platform sandal with a dress or skirt and think these are fabulous to wear into Fall. I think this leather orange crossbody will look so great with fall colors. One of my favorite dresses from last Fall is this Ulla Johnson velvet. This dress is in limited sizes and is a Final Sale, but if you know your size and want a beautiful fall/winter dress, this is it! I found a great-looking pair of Mother jeans on sale. The darker color is great as we advance into Fall, and these will make your legs look long! I have this kitten heel shoe in the raffia (sold out), but who doesn’t need a black shoe? I wear mine with jeans constantly, and I am getting them in black and possibly orange!

My husband and I celebrated forty years of marriage on Sunday. I don’t know how that is possible since I am still in my forties (at least I think that!)! It is a milestone that hasn’t been easy at times. Anyone with a long relationship, be it with a spouse, parent, child, or friend, will have some challenging times. Life is hard,d and we are all wired differently. Anyway, I am a grateful girl!
