HOW TO ADD SPARKLE TO A SIMPLE OUTFIT AND A MACBOOK AIR GIVEAWAY
Happy Friday! I feel like I blinked and the week is over! Do you all have any fun plans for this weekend? I am heading to Austin to visit my girl today. We have dinner plans both nights and a fun exercise event on Sunday morning. I was hoping the weather would be better in Austin, but it is going to be just as hot as it is in Dallas. Lordy!!! Today I wanted to show you how to add sparkle to a simple outfit, plus be sure to enter the Rafflecopter for a MacBook Air below.
A few weeks ago, I went to a fashion show at Neiman Marcus highlighting the trends of the season. Ken Downing, Fashion Director for Neiman’s, was there to talk about the trends. I liked a lot of what is on trend now and headed this way for Fall, except for the return of the 80’s. I thought the 80’s were the worst decade for fashion then and I am not changing my mind now! Anyway, one trend that he reiterated over and over was sequins and how we should wear them during the day (to Starbucks is what he said). I wouldn’t wear a full out sequin dress during the day, but this kimono I am wearing is the perfect way to add a little bit of sparkle to get the trend in.
When I saw the kimono, the color was the first thing that caught my eye, but I thought the sequins added a bit of sass to it. I only plan to wear it with jeans, but it would be so pretty over a white fitted dress. I thought my peach color cami looked good with it but will wear white or cream under it. Kimonos are such a fun and playful topper to tees and camisoles. I’m going to take advantage of them being on trend right now. I feel like I am always in a cardigan or blazer and kimonos are a fun alternative.
