Hi, Y’all! How was your weekend? It was super hot in Austin where we were, and I have decided that I am going to wear lots of dresses this summer because of the heat. I got this simple black dress to wear all summer long a few weeks back from Free People. It’s all cotton (made with a faded material) and has a 1940’s vibe with a flowy skirt.
I love the ties at the sleeves and the button front closure. The dress also comes in ivory, light blue, and a print version. Plus it’s $108! I think I’m going to have to get the light blue too! I shot the dress without a bra. However, I will most likely wear it with a bandeau. I wanted to show you how the neckline looked without. I’m wearing the XS. This dress is so cute and comfortable to wear almost anywhere and will be perfect for the warm fall months as well!
We had a great time in Austin, got there just in time to head out to dinner! We were with our daughter and met up with our daughter in law to be (who happened to be in Austin too), her friend and one of my daughter’s best friends for dinner at a fun spot called, Grizzeldas (amazing TexMex!). It was a loud dinner, but we had so much fun talking, laughing, and trying to escape eating the hottest shishito peppers (it turned into a game).
A friend told me that the smaller ones are usually, the hotter ones. I escaped, but my daughter’s friend was on fire! Anyway, we went for massages on Saturday afternoon after running errands with my daughter then a quiet dinner. We were back early afternoon yesterday.
We discovered a cool store in Austin called W3LL People. It’s a cosmetic and skin care store that only stocks premium non-toxic makeup. Their make up is organic and has nothing bad in it. So I bought a few things to try and will fill you in on what I think. You can also find some of these products at Whole Foods around the country. Check here to find one close to you or just call them up!

Heading to the Big Apple tomorrow for twenty-four hours, then back to get ready for a party here on Friday night for my son and his fiance. So it’s non-stop for me right now! I hope you all have a great and hopefully relaxing day! xx
