HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED BLAZER

HOW TO WEAR AN OVERSIZED BLAZER

Hello, ladies! I hope all of you are doing well! Did you all do anything to celebrate Halloween? We were supposed to go to a Halloween party on Saturday night, but my husband was fighting a sinus infection and didn’t feel well. We went with our daughter to watch our littlest granddaughter experience her first Halloween last night. She was dressed as a mermaid and looked so stinking cute! She is fifteen months old and watching her watch all the kids was so much fun. The street we were on had a huge bubble-blowing machine, and she was mesmerized! I could have watched her for hours! Today, I wanted to share a style tip on how to wear an oversized blazer. I know this look is a little reminiscence of the 80s, but the oversized blazer of 2022 has a more modern feel.

My favorite way to wear an oversized blazer is with jeans (duh!) and heels. I am a relatively petite girl, and sometimes the oversized blazer can look too overwhelming on me (but that’s the look, right?). I like to drape an oversized blazer over my shoulders. I still get the look, but you can see my frame better. I found this blazer in this gorgeous shade of green (one of my favorite colors to wear) that will be perfect to wear during the holidays. It’s super soft and has beautiful dressy buttons. The proportion is essential when wearing an oversized blazer (or any jacket, for that matter). I think keeping the first layer closer to the body is best. Slimmer-fitting tops, pants, and dresses look better. Another way to wear an oversized blazer is to belt it if it feels too boxy.

Trying trends are fun, but I know they come and go, so I wouldn’t say I like to spend a lot on them. I have found great oversized blazers from Revolve, H & M, Nordstrom, Zara, and Target! I am trying a denim line new to me called GRLFRND. I love this faded black bootcut pair! I will say, I ordered my usual size, and they were a little big. I don’t think going down a full size would have been the answer, but I did have them nipped at the waist a tiny bit. I love them and will try a different style from this brand next time I need new jeans.

We have another busy week around here! It seems never to end, but It’s better than being where we were two years ago, stuck at home! Are you all thinking about the holidays now that Halloween is over and it’s now November? I tried to do some Christmas shopping yesterday. I’m just not feeling it yet. Hopefully, it will hit me soon!

Have a great day! Stay well and Be safe! xx
