LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST

Good Morning Everyone! I was a bit MIA last week because I had friends in from out of town and wanted to spend time with them. I am so thankful for my girlfriends near and far! I hope you all had a great week and weekend! We flew to Newport, Rhode Island on Thursday with Nashville friends, the guys were playing in a golf tournament. This trip was my second time in Newport, and I got to see a lot more of the town this time. We have good friends that have a home there, and they had a party on Friday night for the golfers. I am getting ready to tell you a horrible story that I can’t shake.

The night was beautiful and very chilly, and dinner was outside by their pool. We were getting ready to go through the buffet line when I saw people starting to run and heard several people yelling to call 911. Long story short, a man (who actually lived in Dallas), choked on his food. Everyone was trying to give him the Heimlich maneuver! It seemed like forever for the paramedics to arrive and a good friend of ours was giving him CPR the entire time before the paramedics got there. Sadly and tragically, the man did not make it. It was the most horrific and surreal night I have ever experienced. There was a lot of praying for this man. The reason I am telling you this is that it is such a reminder to live life to the fullest and to make sure you always tell your loved ones what they mean to you. This man came on a guys trip, and his poor wife had to get the call about what had happened.

Talking about clothes seems so superficial after that story, but if you have followed me, you know that’s partly what I talk about. So, I am low key today in this simple button-down, jeans, and sneakers. I found this navy striped cotton shirt and loved it for now and will also wear it in the fall. I always think button-downs look chic in an understated way. I have been so drawn to light denim lately and love the dark shirt with the light jeans. I also went bonkers for the sneakers. They are Golden Goose which is stupidly expensive, but once you wear them, you know why they are. I could wear my Golden Goose every single day and be happy!

I’m sorry if this was sort of a bummer of a post. When I write, I always feel like I am writing to my friends. Make sure to tell everyone close to you what they mean to you. Life is so very precious, and we have no clue what the day holds for any of us. Be sure to live your life to the fullest! Know how much I appreciate you all supporting me! Big hugs to all of you! xx
