Hello, ladies! I hope you all had a great weekend! It got so chilly here that we had to turn the heat back on and break out the sweaters. We (barely) survived grandparent duty! We were so busy all weekend with the kid’s activities. However, we had a lovely evening out with just our grandson on Saturday. His favorite restaurant happens to be one of ours too. We love Al Biernat’s and have been going there for years. We know the big boss and servers, so our grandson was treated like a king! It was so fun watching him bask in the glory! On Sunday, I took him to see the new Mario movie (his sister was seeing it with a friend). I hadn’t been to a movie in a while and was shocked to see what movies were playing. I swear, they were all evil sounding or scary! WTH?

I wanted to show the most adorable matching floral set (from Sandro, where it is 30% off) I have worn several times (since purchasing). Matching sets are still so in, and I had to have this top and pants (on sale)! I love the color and the small floral print. I think the top (with the cutest flutter sleeve) will be so fun to wear with jeans, and the pants with a white shirt and blazer. I think a matching set is like a throw-on-and-go dress. You don’t have to put a lot of thought into it. I usually throw my clothes on at the last minute, and a matching set makes it so easy to get dressed. Matching sets are stylish and can always be dressed up or down for different occasions. I paired the set with a fun blue belt, silver sandals, and a fun lavender bag from Leatherology (they have great gifts!).

It’s a tad more difficult to find tops that aren’t cropped or show too much skin, but I tried to find appropriate ones. When will the crop go away??? I’m so done with them!

We have a house guest all week from Columbus, Ohio. She was introduced to us by my son and daughter-in-law when they lived there. She is an energy healer/ intuitive. Both my husband and I had a session with her when my kids lived in Ohio. We have all been begging her to visit Dallas and do some energy work on us. She is so amazing, and I can’t wait for my sessions this week. I hope by the time she leaves, my aura, energy, chakras, and whatever else there is will be all lined up! Lord knows I need some major work!

Today is my beautiful, fun-loving, sweet, and crazy mom’s 83rd birthday! I do not for the life of me know how she does it! She still looks like she did 20 years ago and has more energy than anyone I know to boot! Happy Birthday, Mom!!!
