MATCHING TOP AND SKIRT EASY FOR TRAVEL
Hello, ladies! I meant to post on Tuesday, but I am in London, and I had major jet lag for a few days and wasn’t up for writing anything. We had so much fun in London! Our first (half day) day was spent walking through Covent Garden. We grabbed a late lunch and walked through a fun market. We spent our second day in Oxford and the Cotswolds with a guide who was a huge history buff. He knew everything about the Cotswolds down to every date. We started in Oxford, entered the Keble College gates, and then walked down to University College. Quick story: the summer between my sophomore and junior years at SMU, I attended SMU in Oxford. Seeing the college and streets where I walked a thousand times a day was so fun! We then headed to a few villages in the Cotswolds, and all I could think about was the movie “The Holiday” because the houses looked so similar to Kate Winslet’s (characters) house. It’s such a picturesque area!
We spent most of our third and last day at Harrods! I’ve been to Harrods several times, but for some reason, it looked more beautiful than ever! The women’s shoe floor is to die for! I bought a pair of Gucci loafers that are apparently not in the States yet (what I was told) and a gorgeous blazer from Me & Em. We left London and on to Barcelona, where we are now.
I shot this look right before I left because this outfit came with me on this trip, and I wore it two out of the three nights we were in London. I cannot tell you how much I love it! This top and matching skirt (sold separately) are made from viscose with vertically ribbed panels, flared sleeves, and a black hue marled with mélange flecks. It is one of the most comfortable outfits I’ve ever worn and looks very chic. I wore it with a leather blazer (similar) in London. This outfit is easy to pack (as it doesn’t wrinkle) and can be worn separately or as a set. I am wearing the skirt again with a black cashmere turtleneck while on this trip. We have met up with friends from Nashville and are exploring Barcelona together. We will be here until Monday and then head to Madrid for a few days. We’ve had a lot of tapas, and I am not a fan of the clams!
