Menswear Inspired Plaid Blazer

Good Morning, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! We had a great one full of family time. We spent both nights with my mom and dad, brother and sister in law, and aunt and uncle. We went to my nephew’s high school football game on Friday night, where my uncle was recognized for being a captain on the same team in 1959. It was so sweet to see my nephew in his football uniform out on the field at halftime with his great uncle. Saturday night, we got together with the same group for a family dinner. Family time is important!

Today, I wanted to show you this fabulous longline menswear-inspired plaid blazer. I love the longer length of this piece. Every blazer in my closet hits around the hips or higher, so when I saw this one, it had to come home with me. I didn’t have any menswear-inspired pieces either, and this blazer is just enough of one for me.  I wish you could feel it because it is incredibly soft. The blazer is also very lightweight and would be so cozy to travel in, and of course, I love it with jeans and, you won’t believe the price!

I paired it with the cute graphic tee from Anthropologie that happens to be partnering with Living Beyond Breast Cancer. This tee is a limited-edition that helps Living Beyond Breast Cancer to help support and educate individuals and families touched by breast cancer. I am pushing this whole breast cancer thing down your throat this month! How cute is the tee, though?

Now, for these shoes! I went to a Coach event a few weeks back and saw these adorable Mary Jane’s. Coach has collaborated with Tabitha Simmons, and these are part of that collection. They reminded me of Mui Mui but at a much lower price point. Can you believe they are less than $200? I love the kitten and embellished crystal heel. They are super comfortable too! I have another busy week and trying to fit in some dental work that will have my mouth numb for a while. I’m telling you, aging gets you everywhere, even the teeth! I honestly will find any excuse not to go because I have dental fear (is that a real term?)! I guess it’s best to just get it over with! What is your week like?
