MINT (CONDITION) BLAZER
Happy Monday, everyone! Spring has finally sprung in Dallas, and everything is starting to bloom. I love this time of year. I like to watch the tree outside my kitchen window bloom a little at a time. I am heading out this morning to Los Angeles with two of my blogger friends (So Heather and Style of Sam) for a girl’s getaway, and I could not be more ready. Wouldn’t you know it though, it’s supposed to rain the entire time we are there except today. We will just have to make the most of it! The three of us have been trying to get a girl’s trip on the calendar for a while, so come rain or shine we are on our way today!
I bought this mint blazer (although it is described as blue) a couple of weeks ago because I couldn’t resist the color. Honestly, I am tired of winter colors and wanted a pretty and fresh color blazer. This blazer also comes with matching pants for a pantsuit look. I didn’t get the pants, but now I think I should. I don’t have a pantsuit for spring and come to think of it, for any season. I love the blazer paired with white jeans or a white skirt or pants. It would also look great paired with a floral dress like this or this. The top I am wearing is only available in a few sizes, but I linked two more that I like below.
Do y’all ever get in a rut with your hair? That’s probably a dumb question! I do not know what to do with mine. I’ve been trying to grow out my bangs because my hairdresser won’t let me have them anymore. He says that my forehead is too short for bangs. I have fought with him for years, because…bangs or botox, but I finally am minding him! Anyway, I feel like I did when I cut “wings” in the ninth grade. I’m just feeling blah and can’t decide what to do. My husband calls my hair a “butt cut”! If you have any great ideas, let me know!
I will try to post some Instastories from L.A. I don’t post many stories because my life is pretty boring, but I am hoping we stir up some fun (do you all even watch Instastories?)! I hope we see a celeb or two as well! Have a great day, everyone! xx

The blazer looks great I would get the slacks. In terms of your hairstyle, I think the side parted, straighter look (as in your home page photo “meet Kathy”) is flattering and in fact, I would cut off a few inches. The wings and center part look don’t do you justice. Luckily I have a great girlfriend who always tells me if my hair is wrong. I’m 62, and wear a slightly layered chin length bob – a much more flattering and youthful look!
