MATTHEW TRENT DALLAS
Happy St. Patrick’s Day weekend! How many of you dressed in green and drank green beer? I love to wear green, so any chance I get an excuse, I’m wearing it. As for the beer, no thank you, as I am only a red wine girl! A couple of weeks back, I co-hosted an event at Matthew Trent in Dallas with one of my all-time favorite younger bloggers, Lauren Murphy of Murphy’s Law. She is a doll, and I was so excited to do this with her!
Matthew Trent is an excellent jeweler who has been perfecting his craft for over 40 years. His store sits in The Plaza at Preston Center next to True Foods Kitchen, and you will find him working on pieces in the front window as you walk by. Matthew Trent is a family business where every piece is unique and carefully designed. Matthew was first introduced to the art of jewelry at boarding school. After high school, he worked in Scottsdale, Arizona, for Running Buffalo Silver Gallery and apprenticed for a goldsmith. Before he moved to Dallas, he also worked for a custom jewelry store and manufactured pieces for their retail store. Matthew perfected his craft before deciding to go out on his own. Customers started asking him to make custom pieces and his business was born, almost 30 years ago. Now, Trent is well known around the globe by industry professionals and clients for designing the highest-quality custom jewelry.
I so enjoyed meeting and talking with Matthew. He has created so many beautiful pieces that are ready to purchase, but he will work with you to create a unique and special piece. We had so much fun playing with all of the gorgeous jewelry, but my favorite was the canary diamond ring I am wearing toward the end of the photos. It is stunning, and I am giving hints right now!!!
With Mother’s Day coming up, Matthew Trent is a great place to visit and talk to Matthew about designing a unique piece for you or someone special. I hope it’s a piece for you and you get it!!!!
Have a great day!

The jewelry is so beautiful! I saw several pieces that I would love to have! I’m also wondering if your jacket is Veronica Beard?

Hi Cathy,
I have been following you for quite a while. I know that you are a cancer survivor. I was just diagnosed 3 days ago with the same cancer you had. As vain as it is, I was wondering if I could ask you some questions about your hair and your wig? Also how you handled sleeping and having your husband and kids not see you hairless! If you are able to respond to me, that would be great. I am not sure if you see my email to privatelyto respond to me, but if you have to respond in these comments, that is fine! Thank you so much-
Nancy

Nancy! I am so sorry! I say that because I hate for you to go through everything, but you are going to be fine and hit it like a badass! I just spoke with another woman today who was just diagnosed with TNBC and waiting to speak with another that was too. I hate this crap! It would be such a privilege to speak to you! My email is [email protected]. Email me and then we can set up a time for a call. Bless your bones! You can do this!!! xoxo
