LBD- LITTE BLACK DRESS- DALLAS FASHION BLOOGER OVER 50

Hi Everyone! How was your weekend? Has anyone finished their Christmas shopping? If you have, you make me mad (not really, jealous maybe!). I am only starting to think about it, because I am trying to come up with gift ideas to put on the blog. Personally, I am already behind! Today I wanted to show this not so basic tee shirt dress (it’s available in a pretty brown now, and on sale!). I got this dress in July during the Nordstrom Anniversary sale, and am so happy to have it in my closet. The dress is from James Perse, and is the greatest dress to throw on for lunch or dinner out. It also is perfect for travel, because if folds up small and doesn’t take up much space. It can be dressed up like I am wearing, or would look so cute with white sneakers and long cardigan. The little peekaboo in the back makes it a little different than a plain tee shirt dress. It has a bit of ruching (like last weeks dress), that is great for hiding a stomach pooch! Just a little hiking up and it is magic for your midsection (similar styles below)! I love the necklace I am wearing too! I swear the “diamonds” look real!

I am so tired of leopard print, said no one ever! My husband has asked me why I have so much of it, and it’s because it goes with everything. These shoes (on sale too!) have been worn so many times as well as all of my other leopard shoes. Leopard is my favorite color!!! I know ya’ll have seen this bag before, but I love the Asian influence of it, and it is a perfect match for the leopard.

We are heading back to Dallas today after a long weekend in Naples, Florida. We had such a great time with our kids and attended the most gorgeous wedding on the beach, then reception in the botanical gardens. The flowers were absolutely beautiful in all shades of pink with accents of rosemary sprigs and feathers. The dance floor was set up right in front of a lily pond with sofas, poufs and tepees all around. There were twinkling lights hanging from the trees, and the whole setting was magical. Back to reality this week of unpacking and trying to make our condo feel like a home.

Hope you have a great Monday!
