HOW ONE PIECE CAN TRANSFORM WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE IN YOUR CLOSET// AND A 1,000 PAYPAL GIVEAWAY
Good Morning everyone! I am sure you are tired of me saying how crazy life is right now, but I am telling the truth! I have not addressed one Christmas card, wrapped my oldest son’s, his wife, or the grandchildren’s gifts yet (they are leaving for Ohio on Saturday) and I am getting on a plane in a few hours for Florida and won’t be back until late Thursday night. Why am I leaving right now during such a hectic time? It’s a secret, but it involves the CHIC AT EVERY AGE girls. We have a collaboration with a brand that is taking us to Florida. Today, I wanted to show you how one piece can transform what you already have in your closet for a holiday or New Year’s party.
Most of you probably have a pair of black denim or leggings and a black tank. I saw this gorgeous green and beaded maxi top at Free People. I shopped around for something to wear with it, but got tired and came home. I wanted to wear it during the holidays but was over-thinking it. I didn’t need to go and buy something else to go with it; it was already in my closet! I put my black satin and lace tank, black jeans, and pumps with it, and voila…instant party-ready outfit (and I didn’t break the bank). What I love about this maxi top, is that it will also be so beautiful creating this same outfit in white, maybe for a beach trip? Don’t let the beading deter you from wearing it for a night out on the town either. It’s just a longer version of a bohemian style top.
I love Free People (apparently, because I just did a post on them here) for the pretty beaded and lace pieces they have that are not too expensive. I think this embellished kimono is gorgeous to throw on over pants, as well as this lace robe (under $100). These pieces transform a basic outfit into a party! I’m loving this piece. Everyone has simple black pieces in their wardrobe so this would be very easy to copy. It would also look nice over a black sheath dress. I love that flowy feel – so feminine!
