Happy Friday Everyone! Is everyone so messed up on what day of the week it is? Having a holiday in the middle of the week makes me wacko! We just got back from Nantucket and had the most wonderful fun trip with great friends! My mouth is still sore from laughing!!! I took this Palm Tree Caftan with me, thinking it would be so cute to wear at night by the water, but can you believe it was way too chilly to wear it? I had my leather jacket on the whole time!

How super cute is it though? I love maxi dresses in the summer because if I am lazy and haven’t self-tanned my hams, it doesn’t matter. They can hide a multitude of sins (like not shaving, if you don’t like to do that). This breezy dress has a tassel tie at the waist, and I would suggest either wearing a black tank underneath or having a little snap sewed on to keep the top from opening up. I would also wear a wedge with the dress, but I chose this flat sandal to make it a little more “beachy.” I love my leopard print clutch with it! I swear I can carry this bag with most everything I own! If you like this dress, you want to know the best part? It’s only $88, but looks a lot more expensive! I couldn’t believe it!

I am in love with Nantucket! I want us to rent a house for a week or so next summer and get all of the kids to come and stay. I love how quaint and picturesque it is, and the hydrangeas are insane!!! So are the cobblestone streets! The friends we were with have a gorgeous house, nicer than any house we have ever lived in, so it is a real treat to stay there. We stayed up way too late every night talking, laughing, and dancing! I did have a little surprise outside of the bathroom window in the room where we were staying. I was hurrying to get ready one morning, and couldn’t see very well to put my makeup on. I opened the shutters and placed my travel magnifying mirror on the window ledge. I was up close putting on mascara when I saw a figure standing at the window next door. I looked over, and the man that lives there was standing there with a polo shirt on and nothing else! Now, if he had been a younger man, it might not have been so bad :), but he was about eighty! I jumped away from the window and gave it a second to let him leave. I came back to the window and my mirror to proceed, when he walked up to the window again with all of his (saggy) glory, then turned around to show the backside! Nice! When I got downstairs and shared with my friend who owns the house what had happened, she said he does it all the time! Lordy!!!

I hope you all have a great weekend! I am so excited to see my daughter and son-in-law. They are coming to town, and I haven’t seen them since the wedding. It will be so fun to talk about that night all over again! xx
