J.JILL SUMMER TRAVEL CLOTHES
Hi, Everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend. I want to thank everyone for the sweet comments and emails you all sent me for my “Cancerversary” post! It means so much to me!!! You all are wonderful!!! I am in Nantucket at the moment and having a wonderful time! I am slightly obsessed with this place! We are here with two couples from Nashville who we just love! There have been a lot of laughs thus far!!! Today though, I wanted to show you two outfits that I took along on our trip the weekend before to Newport. J Jill and I partnered up together to show you these cute looks from their summer collection that are so easy to travel with.
The first look is this mock neck sleeveless top. I chose it in the tropical print, but it also comes in cream and black. I love the colors in this print. I think it looks great with denim and white denim as well as the black pants I am wearing it with. The pants I am wearing are part of the summer collection as well. They are the slim crop pants (in petite). They come in four colors and are super easy and comfortable. What I love about these two pieces, is that besides the comfort, they don’t wrinkle and can be washed and dried. This was the perfect outfit to sight see in.
I chose this dress to bring along from their summer collection too. This is the Shirred Waist sleeveless maxi dress. It comes in a pretty boysenberry color and a small print in black. This is the perfect dress to pack for vacations. It is so comfortable and I thought that the black could be worn during the day, then dressed up to wear to dinner. I brought my own belt to make it a little dressier for dinner. It is so comfortable and can be washed and dried too, and at under $100 it is a great buy for a black dress! These J. Jill pieces made my packing so much easier. I actually brought two more outfits with me to Nantucket that I will be showing you in the next week or so.
We are off for a bike ride and to look at the dreamy houses around town. I hope I don’t bust my fanny on the cobblestone streets!
Hope you all have a very fun and safe Fourth of July! Thank you so much for reading!

Happy 4th Cathy! Nantucket is perfect, isn’t it? I recognize that street in Newport- we stayed at the Hydrangea House Inn once – it was lovely. One question – I noticed the JJill dress is full length did you shorten it??

Hi Susan! It is actually just shorter from the belt! It is a great trick to shorten any dress while also sinching your waist!
Have a good weekend!

Good morning! I’m curious how the J.Jill slim cut black crops fit. I noticed you ordered the petite size, and wondered if this was for a slimmer, more-like-legging fit- even tho you seem tall enough for the regular length. Thinking about ordering some for my teacher daughter (5’5″) to start off the school year here in Texas, but she wouldn’t want a baggy look. Thank you, love your blog!

Hi, Susan! Hope you are having a good weekend! I did get a petite in the pant. I am a size 0 in a pant and am 5’6′. Depending on what size your daughter is, I would order down. These pants fit on the bigger side. I washed and dried them to make sure they looked right. If they work, they are super comfortable and easy! I hope this helps! Thank you so much for reading the blog and have a great day! xx
