Putting On A Blazer and Sparkly Shoes
Hi there, and Happy Friday! It feels like we are officially in summer now. I am hoping the warm weather makes the COVID go adios! I have gone over to my parent’s building a few times this week, and I feel so sorry for the residents of assisted living and nursing homes. They are basically like being in prison. They aren’t allowed to let anyone in and, if you are a resident and leave, you have to quarantine for fourteen days. Uggghh! Anyway, what are you all up to this weekend? We are having dinner with friends both nights, on the porch, of course! Anything to feel normal, right? Do you know what did make me feel normal? To put on a blazer and some sparkly shoes!
Veronica Beard Check Blazer
I haven’t purchased much of anything except tees and sweatshirts of late. I mean, where am I really going? But I did sneak into Veronica Beard recently to remember what going into a store feels like! I was not in the market for a blazer (however, their blazers are my favorite) but, I did cave and buy the one I am wearing from Veronica Beard. It is so fun and summery! I am a sucker for gingham in the summer. This blazer is gingham and seersucker made with a cotton-stretch blend. I love it mixed with a vintage tee and jeans. It would also be so cute with white jeans or over a white or fleshy pink color dress. When we do start eating out at restaurants, this is the perfect weight blazer.
I love this bag from Welden Bags
I posted it first here after receiving it. Welden bags are beautifully constructed leather bags with their signature hexagon weave. My bag is the Odyssey Satchel, which is sold out in the grey, but it is available in black and on major sale (the entire website is)! I actually love it in the black more, but I had so many black bags that I got grey. All of the bags have been treated and are water and scratch-resistant. I also found more Welden Bags here.
I have been wearing these Levis on repeat for weeks now. They are so comfy, and I love the fit. I bought this pair last September in New York, but they can be found lots of places (mine were bought with frayed hem). Writing the words New York makes me wonder when I will be able to revisit my favorite city. I love New York!
We sat out on the porch last night with friends, and the weather could not have been more perfect. The Dallas weather has been fantastic in the last few months, and we are soaking in the time we can be outside (before it gets to be a million degrees). It seems that we’ve had cocktail parties every night! I hope that you all get to enjoy some beautiful weather this weekend too!
Have a great weekend, and thank you for reading! xx
