Happy Hump Day!
I’m having a tough time moving this week. You would think after being gone for a week I would feel more rested and ready to take on this week, but that is not how I am feeling. I think it is my allergies (I blame everything on those!). We got back from North Carolina just in time to celebrate our 35th wedding anniversary. Yikes! How have I been married that long? We had a quiet dinner out and are postponing a trip until the fall when the weather is nicer. Today, I am partnering up with Ann Taylor to show you this adorable side-tie dress and some of my favorite picks for dresses and a few other items I have in my shopping cart, because so much is on sale!
Dresses are something I typically don’t wear very much, but I swear, every time I put one on I ask myself why don’t I? Dresses are so comfortable and cool for summer months and into early fall, especially for us girls in the South.
This side-tie dress caught my eye because of the color.
But when I got up close to it, I noticed how cute the criss-cross ties and grommet detail are. This dress comes in navy as well (online only) and is available in petite sizes. I tried on the xxs petite, but it was too short in the body, so I ended up getting the xs petite. The color of this dress (and in the navy also) lends itself to go right into fall for more cost per wear! Also, I wanted to wear the silver slides (sold out but in black here) with it for now but will wear it with a wedge (on sale) as well.
There are so many cute dresses at Ann Taylor right now.
(May remember this one a couple of weeks back that is now on sale). This dress is one of my favorite styles because it is so flattering. The ruching allows for you to decide where you want this dress to hit. Also, the more ruching in the tummy area will help conceal last nights Mexican food! I also love this chambray dress with the wavy trim. Such a cute dress for a summer party. How pretty is this floral lace shirtdress that happens to be on sale? You could wear it to so many places, and I would love a denim jacket worn with it. I think a simple LBD is always a good idea to have. This dress can be dressed up or down and worn all year round.
Now, if dresses aren’t your thing, I love these cute side stripe track pants. I think they are so cute paired with a simple knit shell and a sneaker. Or, this pant with this top and this heel, because leopard is going to be everywhere you turn come fall! When making purchases now, I would highly suggest thinking ahead to early fall and what you might be able to wear in September as well.
Track Pants and Tops:
I’m driving to Austin today to for a quick trip to see my daughter. I get to see my boys on the regular since they live in Dallas, but need to put my eyes on my girl every month or so! I’m there long enough to have dinner, and that’s about it!
Hope you all have a great day!
Thank you, Ann Taylor, for sponsoring this post!
