SQUEEZE THE DAY IN THIS LEMON PRINT BLOUSE
Hello, everyone! How is everyone? We have been busy around here with out-of-town company and more (the grandkids) coming in tomorrow. I am so excited to get them for five nights! I need to get with the program and start planning some fun activities for them in a hurry! Any advice would be much appreciated! We celebrated my mom’s birthday last night and had a blast! I haven’t given an update on her in a long time. Let’s just say she is living her best life (which might include dating!)! It gives me so much joy to see her so happy and having fun.
I attended an event last week at the Alice & Olivia store here in Dallas. The brand’s designer, Stacey Bendet, was there, as well as Nicky and Cathy Hilton. I was gifted an outfit to wear, and this lemon print blouse was what I picked along with this pair of yellow denim (which made my legs look so long!). I have been wearing a lot of Alice & Olivia lately because the colors are so bright and fun! After a few years of whatever in the hell we all just went through, bright and happy colors and prints are so uplifting! Don’t you feel better when you put on something that puts you in a good mood? This lemon print blouse made me so happy, and every time I put it on, it’s hard not to smile.
I paired the blouse with my favorite white(ish) jeans, an aqua color sweater, and my favorite gold wedges (two years old now and go with everything). I pulled out my favorite straw bag from Caterina Bertini, which is about four years old now and truly one of my favorite purchases that I will carry all spring and summer. Shopbop has her bags, but they sell out very quickly! There were three more of this one this morning. Better chop chop if you want one!
Again today, I am a busy girl, getting ready for the kids to come in. I am also shooting for a couple of brands, and one shoot (for Mother’s Day) will include my mom. I’m so excited because we got asked to do a Mother’s Day event at Neiman Marcus together! I will give you the details next week! Regarding Mother’s Day, head back to this post for gift ideas!

grand kids are so much fun and SO BUSY! i have a play space in each room: rocket in the living room, castle in the dining room, train in the family room, puzzle with timer in the study–see how much improvement you get on the second go at it, and in the kitchen i have a sheet pan of rice (or dried beans) with measuring cups or matchbox construction trucks. magnet tiles on the coffee table. “do the dishes dance party play list” and at their little table i have paper and markers and a stapler to make books. their favorite place to go is the neighborhood creek with a chair for me. they work for hours re-routing the stream for a fish pond or a waterfall. i just take pictures. 🙂 have so much fun with them at cousin camp!
