STILL LOVING THE SHACKET

Hi, everyone! I hope you all had a great weekend! Ours was super fun and busy. We had dinner out both nights and got to spend all day Saturday with our granddaughter. She is a hoot! I had a brand send me a ponytail extension (long and not my color), which I gave my granddaughter to play with. The color matches her hair exactly, and she is wearing it constantly. She picked out her outfit on Saturday and showed up in a short camo skirt, Def Leopard graphic tee, combat boots, and hairpiece. We took her to lunch, and she is one “in control” (nice way of saying bossy) girl and so much fun! She already loves fashion which is so fun for me! Speaking of loving fashion, I am still loving the shacket trend. Are you all on board with it?

By now, you must have heard of them, but if not, a shacket, an overshirt, is the ultimate layer that combines a shirt and a jacket effortlessly. Women’s (and men’s) shackets come in all shapes and sizes. There is an overshirt for every occasion. Most come in solids and plaids, but whatever you choose, they will keep you warm when the temperatures dip and look chic. I’ve bought several shackets in the last couple of falls and winters that have been more of a cropped style, but I fell in love with this longer version. This length looks super chic, especially when paired with a high heel boot. Even though this type of jacket looks casual, I think they can be dressed up a bit, too, with a silk shirt and pump. I paired this shacket with a cropped cable cashmere sweater, tee, and boots. This is the perfect time of year to take advantage of shackets in all lengths. I’m getting ready to order this dream shacket!

I’m shooting today and then have a gazillion errands to do. I’m still trying to organize around the house (after the holidays), and my bathroom is the next project. I could spend all day at the Container Store! I just need someone to come and organize what I buy there! My sister-in-law is in town, so we are eating out every night this week. There goes “dry January” (ha! I wasn’t really participating because I am not a quitter, hee hee)!

I hope you all have a great Tuesday! Stay well and Be safe! xx
