SWEATER WEATHER COMING AT YA
Happy Friday and Happy October, everyone! I hope you all have had a great week! We have been in Ohio visiting the grandchildren and celebrating our granddaughter’s seventh birthday. I have no idea how that happened so fast. The last time I looked, I swear she was only four! Anyway, we have been here all week and have had such a fun time with them. It has been glorious and definitely “sweater weather,” especially at night, and I am so into it! How fun is this cozy cardigan?
I love nothing more than a great cardigan in the fall, and this is one that I had to have! I think I fell in love with the print and colors. Usually, I am a solid sweater girl, but this sweater is so fun! I paired it with my leather bootcut jeans (a few years old but still available) and a cute striped shirt with some personality. Also, I think the stripe looks so cute with the print of the sweater, although a solid tee will look good as well. I realized when getting this look together that I didn’t have the correct shoe or boot color. What do I always grab when I don’t have the right thing? Leopard, of course! Leopard is one print that goes with everything and acts like a neutral. My boots are last year’s (this exact style) from Veronica Beard, but I found a dead ringer (here) that is practically free!
Do you all decorate for Halloween? Even though my kids are grown, and my grandchildren (the ones that understand Halloween) live in a different state, I still put a few things out. I just love this time of year! I’m sure you’ve all bought this candle, but I buy it in bulk when it comes out because I am constantly burning it. I love this doormat and can’t wait to pull it out every October 1st! Also, I decorate with these chic pumpkins from MacKenzie Childs. I love all of the pumpkins here, especially this one too! A little fall decor and some great sweaters make me so excited for October!
We are off to do a hike this morning, lunch, and then bowling! We are trying to cram in everything we can today! Football game day is tomorrow, and this house is into it! We have Ohio State and Alabama fans, and I am an SMU fan! We will be watching all day and maybe on all different televisions. So, we head home on Sunday. Get ready because it’s about to get pink on the blog. BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH starts today!
Have a great weekend! Stay well and safe! xx
