THE BEST SPRING DRESSES
THE BEST SPRING DRESSES
Hello, ladies! Happy Saturday! I hope all of you are enjoying some Spring weather. We have had a weird twenty-four hours with a sandstorm that has come through Dallas. The sky yesterday and last night looked like what I imagine the Middle East looks like during its sandstorms. It was a little creepy, and we got sand in our eyes! I saw a video of West Texas with 18-wheeler trucks being turned over on the highway by the wind. Crazy! Since it is mid-March, I wanted to show some of my favorite and best Spring Dresses. I think about price points and our age when I pick out dresses! I’ve picked out over fifty to show you.
I love wearing an easy dress in the spring and summer (especially when it’s hot!). I’ve been shopping a bit in the last few weeks and seen tons of shirt dresses everywhere. I found this pretty blue one from Simkhai and love the pin-tucked waist. If blue is not your color, it comes in green, brown, orange-red, white, yellow, black, plum (I think this looks more fall-like), and this periwinkle check. There are more sizes HERE as well! This shirt dress is a classic that will always look good. I paired the dress with silver accessories and a striped sweater. FYI, these sandals are from last year, but thong sandals are trending big time!

The brown dress below is another shirt dress style. I had to show this dress because I just got it—it’s the fifth one I own! I am obsessed with this dress! I wore this style all spring and summer last year and will do the same this year. I love how easy and pretty it is with the empire waist and slight A-line (and pockets!). I love Julia Amory dresses (proof from last year and here) and have just ordered my first pair of pants. I can’t wait to see how they fit. Quick side note: Julia Amory’s husband shirt and pareos are the best for cover-ups! I digress! I paired the dress with a barn jacket and a flat sandal that I can’t link because I bought them in a little boutique in Fredericksburg last summer.
I know my hair is in the way, but I am wearing these earrings non-stop! I went to a private event to view Jenny Bird jewelry and am obsessed with it, too. The earrings are so lightweight, and they converted me back to silver!

I am so sorry that I have been more MIA lately. I’ve mentioned my stomach health issues, and I was truly at my wit’s end last month. I just started the Dr. Pompa program and am three days into it. This program is a huge commitment, and I will be doing it for five months (or more), but I was at the point where I was willing to do anything. I have a friend who did it and has never felt better. I’m also eating more of a carnivore diet, and honestly, I feel much better eating that way. I know carnivore is not for everyone, but it seems to work for me (maybe because I am an O+ blood type?). For wine drinkers like me, the Pompa program doesn’t say absolutely no wine; they suggest that if you drink wine, it comes from France, Italy, or Spain. I was a huge California cab girl, and I am switching over! You only live once, right, and a glass of wine is my only vice!
I hope you all have a great weekend! More dresses are below.
Stay safe and Be well! xx
