TWO SHIRT DRESSES AND FAVORITE SUMMER DRESSES OF LATE
Hello, ladies, and happy weekend! It’s officially (by the calendar) summer! I must admit that I am so glad to be home and stay put for a month. The three—and four-day trips I have taken in the last couple of months have worn me out, so I am so happy to be home for a while. I will even take the heat! Today, I wanted to show you two shirt dresses and my favorite summer dresses of late. Because Dallas gets so hot in the summer, I wear more dresses (especially ones that don’t stick to my legs) than I typically do. Dresses are easy and the best way to keep cool on hot summer days. One brand that I love that I’ve shown before ( I love this dress) is Julia Amory. I am obsessed with her and her Instagram.
What I love so much about Julia Amory is that most of her pieces are appropriate for ALL ages. I might not wear this, but there are so many other pieces to choose from. I fell in love with the print of the dress I’m wearing. I admit, I was surprised at how thick the Oxford cotton is when it arrived, but it has a hint of stretch and hardly wrinkles. This dress also comes in white, blue, and black, but everything on the website sells out pretty quickly, and most sizes are sold out. They should have named this dress the “Lucy” because it reminds me of Lucy Ricardo. I paired it with a neutral sandal and a straw bag.

The second shirt dress I am showing looks like patchwork denim but is cotton. I think this is a chic look with denim heels, but I will also wear it with boots come fall. My husband never says if he likes something (unless I ask, because he has learned), but when he saw me try this on, he said he really liked it! This dress is a thin cotton, and even though it has long sleeves, it’s a great summer dress (great for keeping arms out of the sun). I love this white bag, but it is sold out in every color. Many celebs were seen carrying this bag, and that’s what happened. The price point is great for leather, and you can sign up for the waitlist. It comes in lots of colors. This is a similar (and affordable) bag.
