THE PERFECT LIGHTWEIGHT SUMMER BLAZER
Happy Memorial Day! I hope you all have had a great weekend and enjoying another day off! Don’t you love a short week? I wanted to show you all the perfect lightweight blazer for summer today. I can’t believe how fricking hot it already is here in Dallas. Starting on Wednesday, we are expected to have triple digits for five days and topping 107 for the high this next Sunday (and it’s not even officially summer)!!! Unfortunately, it looks like this is going to be a sweltering summer!
Why would I wear a blazer in the hot summer? Because I’m always cold inside and I like to protect my skin from the sun when I’m driving or running errands. This blazer is so lightweight (no lining), is made with a linen blend, and it comes in at $130. The charcoal and cream stripe look great with any color tee or cami underneath. I paired it with a pale fleshy color ruffle sleeve tee, but am thinking that this floral cami ($79) would be so cute underneath! The blazer will be on rotation for me all summer long!
We survived our four days of babysitting while the grandchildren’s parents were in Chicago. The first day they were with us, their golden retriever ended up with an ear hematoma and had to have surgery (sad it was the dog, but so thankful it wasn’t one of the babies!). The kids were great, but we are exhausted today. I also had a friend in from Nashville staying with us, and she is leaving us today exhausted as well! My post is a little shorter today so that I could spend time with everyone here this weekend. I hope you all have a great day today with sunshine and maybe a barbeque! xx
