WHAT TO WEAR TO A SUMMER WEDDING
Happy Friday, everyone! Can you believe this is Memorial Day weekend already? Since summer is basically here (especially in Dallas with high temps), I wanted to talk about what to wear for a summer wedding. I will admit that unless I am the MOB or MOG, or it is specified, I will almost always have on a short dress. I honestly don’t like buying long dresses, because I don’t wear them often enough (or ever again!). The dress I am wearing is by Ulla Johnson and not available except here in a few sizes, but I found it in a shorter version here and here and a sleeveless one here. I think it was a popular dress! Anyway, I wore this to my cousin’s daughters wedding a few weeks ago. The attire was not black tie, so I found this dress to be appropriate. I am a huge fan of Ulla Johnson dresses because they are always so pretty and feminine! I think Revolve has a good selection of them.
I am also a big fan of the pumps I am wearing that are by Malone Souliers. I bought the silver and gold (go up a 1/2 size) so that I could wear them with everything! I am not lying when I tell you that I wore these all night and my feet did not hurt!
Here are a few of my favorite dresses when black tie is not specified.
So what do you wear when black tie is specified? I sometimes will still wear a short dress, but I think it has to do more with who is giving the wedding. We are attending a wedding next month, and the MOB wants all of the women in long dresses. I think these days unless specified or it is white tie, a short cocktail dress is appropriate unless you love wearing long gowns! Â What am I wearing? I have no idea!!! The wedding is in Colorado, so if you have a suggestion let me know!

This time last year, I was planning my daughter’s wedding. It went off without a hitch, but unfortunately, the marriage didn’t and it recently ended. It is sad, but she is doing okay. One thing that is for sure in life is that there will be change. Life goes on and I am hopeful that she will find “the real right one” in time. How many wedding invites do you have for this summer? We have about three right now. There are so many Memorial Day sales going on that it’s always a great time to check those for dresses you might be needing. I do not like to spend a lot on long gowns, so I hope I can find one on sale. I am listing a few sales below for you to peruse if you have free time this weekend!

Cathy I love this dress…you look amazing. I would have loved to try it in for my daughter’s wedding. Going to look to see if it is stocked over here. So sad when marriages end but I am sure your daughter will find happiness again. Lots of love xxxx
