Hello, friends! How are you all doing? I have to say that I am exhausted. We’ve had a weird thing happening with our dog that last couple of nights. She sleeps with us (in between and on her own Tempurpedic pillow, spoiled much?) and has woken up in the middle of the night making the hurling sounds before a dog throws up. Thankfully we’ve heard it and put her on the floor before she actually does it. She is fine during the day, so we don’t know why she is doing this. If this goes on one more night, it’s off to the vet! Anyway, my brain gets flipped on, and I haven’t been able to go back to sleep after this fun activity.
We had a busy weekend with dinners out both nights. We didn’t see the baby this weekend because my daughter is not doing well. I think I mentioned that she had had an allergic reaction to something used on her during her c-section. It has become so bad, and she is covered in a painful and itchy rash. I feel so sorry for her. Anyway, we wanted to give her space to rest.
THE PERFECT SUMMER DRESS
Today, I wanted to show you this fabulous perfect summer dress. Why do I think it is perfect? Because you can dress this up or down for so many different occasions. This easy crinkled chiffon dress (with a self-tie) is from Club Monaco. It’s relaxed enough to wear during the day and sophisticated enough for more formal events. I wanted to show you two ways that I have styled it.
The first look is paired with a simple gold flat sandal and a Fendi baguette bag. This look is great for shopping, brunch, or a casual dinner out. It’s such a comfortable dress and perfect for summer weather. For the second look, I used the self-tie for a more polished evening look. I added a gold heel and a metallic bag. This look is perfect for date nights, a girl’s night out, or a wedding. The dress is made with recycled polyester, is available in sage green and ivory, and the best part is that it is on sale and available in most sizes! I see this dress worn in the fall with a leather moto jacket over it or a long sleeve tee under it, and of course with a pair of boots.
A Little Plumbing Issue
You guys, both of our hot water heaters (that are new within the last year) have gone out within a week of each other. My husband can light the pilot and give us hot water for about fifteen minutes. Also, do you know how hard it is to get parts for anything right now or get a plumber to help? We have been waiting a week already, and I’m about to scream. I don’t think I would have made it as a pioneer woman!
I hope you have a great day! Stay healthy and safe! xx
