Hey, friends! I feel like I’ve been waiting forever for these photos because I’ve been so wanting to share this post with you. I know a lot of you may know her, but if not, meet gorgeous Janet Gunn, The Grateful Gardenia and ultimate cheerleader. Janet and I met about a year and a half ago when we were both asked to attend a Chico’s event in New York. The second I met her, I felt a connection and knew we would be friends. Well, that has become the case! Not only is she a friend, but she has become a great friend and someone that will be in my life forever!
The Ultimate Cheerleader
Janet is a Texan (the connection was real!) but has lived her adult life in Los Angeles (she still says she’s from Texas!). When I said she was the ultimate cheerleader, I meant that in two ways. One, Janet was a Dallas Cowboy’s Cheerleader back in the day and two, she is so positive and loving and cheers for everyone! Every time I’m with her or talk to her, she is trying to put people together or help them out. She has been a flight attendant, Hollywood actress, jewelry designer, and now an incredibly successful influencer. And did I mention how stunning she is? It’s hard to believe that she is my age because she looks like she’s thirty!
So Grateful For Time Spent With Janet
Janet and I have spent time together in a group, with our husbands, and alone, and she makes everyone feel so special. I have been to Los Angeles about five times since our first meeting, and we have spent as much time together as possible. This past trip to LA (a few weeks back) was the best because we got in a lot of quality time and I am so grateful for that! She feels like a sister to me!
Be Sure To Check Out The Grateful Gardenia
I wanted you to know her and her blog, The Grateful Gardenia. She started her blog through gratitude and is passionate about encouraging women to be inspired and empowered at any age. You will find lots of travel, fitness, beauty, and fashion tips on her blog.
I can’t tell you what her friendship has meant to me! She is the ultimate cheerleader, and I am one lucky girl to have her in my life!
We had these photos taken (by my favorite photographer in LA) at the Sunset Marquis (which is so cool!), where we hung out all day long!
I am working fast and furiously this morning because I have a busy day! I have mentioned before that my dad has Parkinson’s. Yesterday he was shakier than usual and didn’t feel right. I am headed to a doctors appointment with him and my mom. Parkinson’s is a crappy disease! I am getting my color done (thank goodness) and attending a kick-off event for Partner’s Card tonight (benefits The Family Place in Dallas).
I hope you all have a great day! xx
