TWO BLACK SHIRTDRESSES UNDER $100

TWO BLACK SHIRTDRESSES UNDER $100

Hello, ladies, and Happy Friday! I have spent the last week cleaning out and moving my summer clothes out of my closet, and wouldn’t you know, it’s back in the high 90s again. I know this can happen to Halloween (and beyond), but I love fall colors and would love to wear a sweater (Montana spoiled me!)! Today, Heather (SO HEATHER) and I are back together and want to show two black shirtdresses with affordable price tags. It’s no secret that we love shopping, but I’m trying to improve. I think that shoes and a great bag can elevate any look, and here is proof that it can be achieved.

We both picked out a dress in two trends for fall: dark denim and (faux) leather. Both dresses combined don’t add up to $100, yet they look much more expensive! Everyone who saw us in these dresses together while shooting loved them. Our favorite sales associates at Frame could not believe where they came from! Okay, drumroll…both of these dresses are from Walmart. I will be honest: I am not a huge fan of fast fashion, but I do understand that many people are tightening their purse strings right now. These dresses look great in person, and the fabric (faux leather and denim) looks like items you would find at Nordstrom, Zara, or many other retailers. By adding a great pair of shoes and a bag, I don’t think you would ever guess where these dresses were purchased. My dress is a faux leather pleated shirtdress with a self-tie. I will change out the self-tie belt with a belt like this next time I wear it. Heather’s dress is a black midi-length denim shirtdress, to which she added a great belt (belts are huge this season!). Both dresses are from Scoop. Do you all remember Scoop being in several locations in NYC? It was one of my favorite places to shop! It was heaven when they opened one (and sadly closed) in Dallas in Highland Park Village. Things have changed, and now they are at Walmart!

I haven’t (physically) shopped much in Walmart (I only order online). While we were in Montana, we drove to Butte to run some errands and ran into Walmart to get extra keys made. I was so curious to see (and also needed a shopping excursion ANYWHERE!) what was in Walmart. The home section was actually really good! I saw these cute bowls and tortoise glasses. I also loved this black ceramic bowl. Now that I am back home, I have been looking at the website. Who knew that you could get a pre-owned authentic Chanel bag? My head exploded!

This is not a sponsored post for Walmart, but we wanted to show two affordable dresses that looked more expensive. I have linked a few more items from the website below that I think look good.

Heather and I are hosting an event at Stanley Korshak today for our favorite shoe boutique in LA, Madison Maison. The owner, David Assil (who has become a good friend), designs the shoes and has them made in Italy. The leather is like butter! I’m dying for this boot and this loafer. I already own this shoe and wear it constantly! This is Heather’s new shoe! If you are not in Dallas but are interested in his shoes, check out his website and use Code: CATHY15 for a discount.

Also, my favorite store, FRAME, is having a Friends and Family Sale! Everything is 25% off! This is a great time to purchase jeans or anything else from the brand. I highly recommend this pair of jeans! I bought them in two colors. I purchased this sweater a few weeks ago and should have waited for this sale. It’s so cozy! This sweater is on my wish list!

I hope you all have a great weekend! Stay well and Be safe! xx
