WEDDING SEASON IS UPON US

Hello, ladies! I hope you are all doing well! We got back from Alabama on Sunday after a lovely time spent with my in-laws. We might have worn them out, but it was so much fun! Yesterday morning, I spent it trying to catch up and then had a doctor’s appointment on my schedule. I got to the appointment to find out that I was a week early. I am a knucklehead! Also, I wish the appointment had been yesterday because I am having real problems. I had gone to see this doctor, a urologist, about three years ago for bladder pain. It got better but now has come back with a vengeance, and I am so uncomfortable (it feels like someone is pinching my bladder). What the heck? Anyway, I am waiting until next week to find out. Aging is so much fun!

Today, I wanted to touch on wedding season because it is upon us! Last year, wedding season was not much fun, but I can tell you that it is happening this year (not that we are going to any). The reason I know this is that I spent four hours looking for dresses to show you all (remember, I look for things that have a full-size run), and I found very few that weren’t sold out in one or more sizes. Women are shopping, and they are definitely spending money on cocktail or wedding attire dresses. I think everyone is ready to get dressed and get out of the house! My advice to you if you are shopping for something special and you see something you like, grab it because it won’t be there long!

BA&SH Dress

The dress that I am wearing is by a brand that I love called BA&SH. Best friends started this French brand with a shared love for fashion. Their idea? To bring their dream wardrobe to life so that they could share it with other women. A brand truly made by women for women. BA&SH has so many beautiful pieces, and this dress is perfect for wedding season. I also love this dress. Check them out for beautiful “French” girl cool pieces.

YSL Bag

I bought this YSL bag two years ago after searching for both gold and silver cocktail bags. It was a splurge, but I can use it as both gold and silver, and I will have it forever. I was with my friends in Montgomery last week, and we were discussing handbags. So, I explained my thought process on purchasing nice handbags, and it is this. I have one granddaughter (I hope to have more), and I really want to be that grandmother that she will come into my closet one day and take my nice bags and say that they are her grandmother’s vintage bags. It’s how I justify spending money on bags. I really do have that thought when I purchase one. That was a long story to say that that bag is two years old and no longer available, but I found this one (used), and someone should snap it up (for their granddaughter, of course!)

I wrote about Corace Collection bracelets last week and am wearing the thick snake chain necklace in these photos. I am crazy about it and love all of their pieces!

I’m so excited that I get to see a friend today from out of town. I haven’t seen her in almost two years now, and I cannot wait! Tomorrow, I am meeting with a TCU student that reached out to me about interning with me for the summer.  When she reached out to me, it was an answer to prayer. I am drowning trying to do this by myself. I can’t keep up with the blog, Instagram, and emails and have a life. With my new grandbaby coming in two months, I am going to need the help! Needless to say, I am so excited to meet her!
