Hi, everyone! How was your holiday weekend? We had a lot of fun celebrating our oldest son’s birthday on Friday, then a beautiful wedding on Saturday night. I did exactly what I wanted to do on Sunday, which was nothing. Yesterday, my husband and I flew to New York for a little getaway/business trip. My husband and I both have some meetings (separately) today and tomorrow, but hopefully, we will have some time to play. On my list of things to see, is the new Hudson Yards! Have any of you been yet? Let’s discuss today’s topic, though, which is luxury bedding with Bloomingdale’s.

Livening up a guestroom with luxury bedding

I am so excited about partnering with Bloomingdale’s today to show you some beautiful luxury bedding that can transform or freshen up a room. I wanted to liven up a guestroom upstairs and ordered a few pieces from Yves Delorme to make that happen. I already had a duvet and shams that were fine, but I wanted the room to look a bit more lively. I think this Ginko print is so pretty and compliments what I already had. I also added the coverlet and standard shams, and I love how it looks. The coverlet has a smaller and more solid Ginko print on the reverse side and is machine washable. Now, I feel like the room looks a little more put together and comfortable for guests.

Bloomingdale’s has the best selection

Bloomingdale’s has an excellent selection of luxury bedding from brands like Yves Delorme, Frette, Sferra, Matouk, and Schlossberg. They also carry fabulous sheets from those same brands and also from Hudson Park, Charisma, Ralph Lauren, Anne de Solene, and my favorite, Peacock Alley. A few of my favorite looks are this Hotel Classic Collection from Frette, the Aziza bedding collection from Matouk, and I love the Saxon Collection from Sferra. I know bedding is expensive, but when you think about how much time you spend in your bed, it should be a peaceful and comfortable refuge.

Now I want to re-do the other guest room!

After seeing how much more beautiful this guest room looks, I want to re-do my other guest room this summer. I think I am going to go with the Vienna Matelassé Collection from Peacock Alley. I want it simple and elegant and will monogram the shams. There’s nothing better than fresh linens!

We had dinner at one of our favorite Italian places last night called Elio’s. It is a small but lively, authentic Italian restaurant that we hit up every time we are here. We are out the door to head to our first meetings and then hope to meet up at our one of our favorite lunch spots, Fred’s at Barneys. I know there are a million places to have lunch in New York, but for some reason, we have always loved Fred’s! We are having dinner at Gramercy Tavern tonight. Tomorrow is hectic, but our oldest son is going to be here on business, and we are having dinner with him. He is a major “foodie,” so it will be interesting to see where he is taking us.

I hope you all have a great day! xx
