DVF FIT AND FLARE DRESS

This is going to be a quick post, because I am in NYC now, and that should explain why!!! This past weekend, was a whirlwind for us. We flew back to Dallas last Thursday to attend an event called, STRIPPED, for breast cancer. This was the event that I had mentioned being a part of. It was such a fun night, and I was so honored to be part of it! My in-laws flew in on Friday to spend the weekend with us for our grand daughter’s baptism. We had a huge family dinner on Saturday night, and then the baptism on Sunday, followed by a brunch at our son’s home. So much fun!

I photographed this dress, knowing this was what I was going to wear to the baptism, but at the last minute, my daughter had a wardrobe malfunction, and needed something to wear. She ended up wearing this dress, and I switched gears. Anyway, I love this “fit and flare” dress from Diane von Furstenberg. I bought it about a month ago at Neiman Marcus Last Call. I don’t know if you ever look on their website, but they have some great things with great prices. This dress also comes in purple, navy and white, and it’s on sale now. The necklace that I am wearing is also from Last Call. I bought this about a year ago, and every time I wear it,  I get a million compliments. It is hugely on sale now!

And, speaking of sales, Shopbop is having a great one and Nordstrom’s, Half Yearly Sale, is going on. It’s a great time to peruse their sites and stock up on basics, or maybe a pair of shoes or two!
