Happy New Year Everyone and Hello 2017! Hope you all had a great night, either celebrating in full force or quietly at home. We are in Naples and had a semi quiet night, with family and friends. Lots of football watching, fireworks, and of course a little drinking was done. Did you all make any resolutions? I don’t like making them, because I never make it past January without breaking them. I think this year, I am just going to make some suggestions to myself and not put the pressure on. Maybe I will follow through that way. A couple of my suggestions for myself would be…to get back to eating cleaner (I messed up the last part of the year on that!), to exercise (I really messed up on that), to volunteer (messed up too), and not to compare myself to anyone else (messed that up too!). See what I mean…I messed up all of my resolutions for last year. So this year, these will be things to think about.
2016 got a really bad rap, but personally, it was a great year! I think every year is great after surviving breast cancer! I am here!!! My family and friends are all healthy, I have a roof over my head, and have a lot of love. What can be bad about that? I also am so thankful that I have this outlet, which by the way was really good to me. I’ve met so many precious women through this blog, got to correspond with readers, work with great brands, and make a little money. All in all, I am grateful beyond, and am looking forward to this year. We have a wedding and a fun trip planned. Life is GREAT and such an enormous gift!!!
Everything I am wearing above is really old, but not tired. I bought the jacket probably eight years ago at T.J. Maxx. It was one of those awesome finds that was in the “runway” section. It is Elizabeth and James, and I have worn it many times, especially during the holidays. The leggings are J Brand, and are probably the same age. If you don’t have a pair of leather leggings, they are worth the investment, or at least they have been for me! The Valentino Rockstuds are another investment, but I swear, they are THE most comfortable heel I own. I would love to get a new pair in different colors every year. They are so worth the money! The necklace is from BaubleBar and is one of those great statement pieces that can add so much umph to a white blouse or tee. The bag…well, that is not old and not mine! That belongs to my buddy Style of Sam. She let me borrow it for this shot, because I showed up without one. It is dreamy, and maybe one day!
I am wishing you all the happiest New Year and hoping it is filled with so many wonderful blessings. You all have been a blessing to me! Thank you for reading and God Bless all of you! xx
