Happy Weekend everyone! Whew, we made it through an another week! How are you spending the weekend? I can tell you how I am spending mine. I will be packing up this condo all weekend. Oh my gosh, I cannot believe I am boxing up my life again! This is it before the nursing home (famous last words!)! I am so excited about moving into my “grandma” house. This house feels like a home you want to bake cookies with your grandchildren. So random, but it feels that way to me! Anyway, the move date is this next Wednesday. Today, the Chic at Every Age girls picked plaid shirts to show. Nothing quite says the coming of fall like plaid does.
We are all wearing a different color plaid from Rails. I know these look like a flannel, but they are a soft cotton that are perfect for the beginning of fall. Have you ever tried these plaid shirts from Rails? I have been adding one each fall to my collection. They are the very softest shirts, and I have been a big fan of the brand for a while now.
Natalie-The Fashion Hour is wearing hers over a white tee shirt dress with over the knee boots. Honestly, I would have never thought of this, but it looks so cute on her little pregnant self!
Samantha-Style of Sam paired hers over very fashion forward denim and booties. Sam is a master at putting pieces together. She knows how to accessorize better than anyone I know too!
Heather-So Heather wore her shirt with gray denim and heels to give it a dressy feel. I don’t know why I always think plaid shirts should be worn with a boot or flat. I will be wearing mine dressed up a bit from Heather’s cue.
Me- Since it’s still summer, I decided to wear mine with a white jean. I pulled out these fab pearl slides to make it look a little girlier (only a few sizes left, but I linked another site below. Unfortunately, they are not at the sale price). I still think I look the most casual of all of us, which is pretty much me, but I now have some new ideas of how to make this shirt look a little less “farmy” (that’s not really a word, but you know what I mean!).
I’m off to get a massage this morning. I know that sounds heavenly, but believe me, it’s not like it sounds. I have had lower back pain for over a month now, and the woman that we see is a 4’10” Korean woman who makes my husband scream like a little girl! She knows so much about the body, but she will put a big “hurting” on you. It’s actually like going in for torture, but hopefully, I will feel better for packing and lifting boxes.
Have the best weekend! xoxo
