CHECK IT OUT WITH NORDSTROM
Good Morning! How is everyone? I am worn out from traveling last week, then coming home to unpack a gazillion boxes! We seriously have accumulated too much stuff!!! I am trying to find a place for it all, but I really want to just give a lot of it away. Isn’t it crazy how your taste changes from time to time? I love a “warm and cozy” feeling house, but I think there is something cathartic about being a minimalist and having a very sparse home. Anyway, I am not a minimalist, so my house, for the time being, is going to be filled with “stuff”. Today I wanted you to “check out” this cute and comfy outfit that I will be traveling in next week from Nordstrom. I live around the corner from Nordstrom now (sorry, husband!) and it’s always my go-to store because I can get everything I need there.
We are going to Italy for a wedding. This will be my second trip to the country and my first time to attend a European wedding. I’m excited, but I am already stressing about the packing and what to take. The wedding is black tie, plus there are other events associated with it that require a particular dress code, so it’s going to be tricky packing. I will figure it out eventually, but I am more concerned about what I am going to wear on the plane that will be comfortable, and that I can wear a few times. I went to Nordstrom last week and found this cute soft check tee from Rag & Bone. I will top this with a soft and warm cardigan for the plane. I love this tee, and (side note) don’t you think this could be a cute one to wear to a football game if you are an Alabama fan? I am wearing my black Paige jeans with the frayed and slanted hem (similar pair). I can wear them day or night on the trip. My favorite thing are these slides by Sam Edelman! Y’all, I promise they feel like house slippers. I think they are the perfect long flight shoe. I can take them off and put on those little”airplane” socks, then slip them back on for bathroom breaks. The ones I am wearing are not available on line, but this pair is similar and just as comfortable because I tried them on.
Do you all have a favorite outfit to travel in? I think this Tory Burch sweater would be great with jeans or this tee with a black legging, cozy cardigan, and a sneaker. For long flights, it’s all about comfort, don’t you think? I’m trying to find a different carry-on bag. Mine doesn’t hold as much as I would like and gets very heavy. Maybe I will take my carry-on suitcase, that way I can roll two bags! I have turned so many people on to this bag! It’s the best carry-on suitcase for short trips, but I think I might use it for my actual carry-on. It’s soft and expands so that you can pack a lot in it. Does anyone have a favorite bag they could recommend? Would love all recommendations!
Hope you all have a fantastic day! Thank you so much for reading! xx
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post.

I love everything you put together–when I travel to Europe or anywhere for that matter I always wear my heaviest shoes–at some point you will get hit by weight charges. I take one suitcase that I check and then I take a rolling carry on(not a rolling suitcase)more like the tumi oslo–I have an older victornox that works great– I tried to find one that the front to back measurement is 9″ or less–that way it will fit under the seat —
Smaller local flights in Europe are small! Then I take a cross body bag that is smaller for my essentials when I am sitting so I don’t have to get in and out of my big bag–I make the switch to those things when I am waiting to board. (if you can find a purse that works that has a strap to go over your rolling handle all the better) Not so fashionable but oh so functional are the bags by baggalini.
I also love to travel in pants by Lysse. They stretch but have a bit more to them than a legging. No jeans for long flights unless they are super soft and stretchy. I used to travel only in maxi dresses especially by Leona Edmiston but she closed her boutiques in the US. Sympli is another brand with spandex jersey mix that look great after living in them for 24 hours.

also–for the formal–I have fallen in love with LA Petit Robe De Chiara Boni–they are beautiful and run true to size–they have interior shapewear that glosses over a million sins(not that you have any!) and they pack like a dream.

It is definitely a little splurge for a tee! Buffalo plaid is the perfect transitional print as well! XX
