Hi, All! How was your Christmas? I hope every one of you had a blessed day with family and friends celebrating the gift of Christ! Today, I am partnering with Nordstrom to show my favorite cold-weather look. Usually, Dallas doesn’t get extremely frigid, but it does happen, like today! We left yesterday to head south for a few days, then will head to Nashville. The weather is supposed to be freezing in Nashville (29 for the high), and this look and coat are perfect for the trip. A Canada Goose or other down-filled coat is just what is needed to help protect from the bitter cold. This military style coat is three-quarter length with lightweight duck-down insulation. The removable hood has real coyote fur trim. I took these photos right before Christmas, and the white is no longer available, but it now comes in a beautiful plum (that won’t show dirt!). There are so many great coats at Nordstrom, and I wish I had seen this packable jacket that rolls up into a travel pillow before we left yesterday. How genius!!! And this one is simply gorgeous! Nordstrom always has what I need (as in this post too) and stocking up on cold weather items was easy peasy!
I cannot live without my Ugg boots! These are the only thing that keeps my feet toasty warm. I am sure most of you have a pair of Uggs, but if you don’t, they are the best! This black pair is probably the 5th pair I have bought over the years. I wear them all winter in my house, but if I need to be outside in the freezing cold, these are what save me! I honestly love them so much and wear them year round at home. I know they aren’t the most stylish, but my toes sing for joy when they hit that shearling!
I don’t know if you can tell how fun this sweater is because it is in black, but it has faux fur sleeves that give it a very current feel. I didn’t have anything like it, and since it was under $100, I thought it would be fun to have! There are so many cute furry sweaters available right now like this and this one to give you a “snow bunny” look, and who doesn’t want to look like one in the freezing temps??? To add to that “snow bunny” look, I am wearing the cutest beanie covered in pearls. I have to order another two because my daughter has already taken it from me and my daughter-in-law wants one.
Today is my in-law’s 60th anniversary! What a milestone that is and our whole family traveled to Montgomery, Alabama yesterday to celebrate them tonight at a big family gathering out at their farmhouse. My husband told everyone that the dress code was “farm chic.” I am so excited because I had just bought the perfect jacket for that exact look! Who would have thought???
I hope you all have a great day and are catching up on some down-time! xx
Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
