DENIM-ON-DENIM

Hello, ladies! Are you all sick of the heat yet? Summer has just started, but it already feels like July and August. I say that because last week was super hot in Dallas, but I have to admit that we are enjoying a little reprieve in Montana. We flew here on Friday with our friends who have a very nice airplane. They offered us a ride and to load up the plane with whatever we could fit to bring to our new little place. We literally looked like the Beverly Hillbillies! I was a little mortified when we pulled up to the plane in two SUVs full of our stuff! Our friends were great sports, and so were the pilots! Thankfully, we got almost everything here, and I love how it looks. I want it to feel like home but a more mountain version.

I know I posted a matching set in my last post, but since we were heading to the “ranch,” I wanted to show this denim-on-denim look from Cinq a Sept that I am obsessed with. I bought the cuffed denim first, saw this vest over a week later, and had to have it. The denim pants are so flattering and make my legs look longer. I’ve worn them with so many different tops. The denim vest is so fun with the pants. I am wearing a white tank underneath the vest and treating it like a jacket, but I wore it in Fredericksburg last weekend buttoned up without anything underneath. Again, I love pieces like these that can be worn together and separately.

You will be seeing this Dior bag a lot! I had been looking for this leopard Dior lady bag for a while after discovering they were no longer carrying them at the Dior stores. I finally found it on Rebag! It is used, but it is in perfect condition. Have you ever bought a used designer piece? This was my second designer bag purchase, and I was so pleased with both. I bought a Chanel bag from Julia Rose of Boston. I know that designer bags are pricey and not something you buy often or maybe not at all (unless you are lucky and can!), but I wanted to share these websites with you to keep on file! I wanted to share two sites (newish to me) with you all. The first is DISSH. This is an Australian brand, and I have been so happy with the pieces I ordered. I ordered this black cotton full skirt and cropped cotton shirt (wearing it as a jacket). I have just placed another order with these pieces. The other brand is LEFT ON FRIDAY. Since many of us spend the summer at the beach, pool, or lake, I wanted to share their suits with you. I went nuts for this mock neck swim top that protects you from 98% of the sun’s UV rays. Talk about saving your neck! You can wear this as is or throw it over a two-piece top or even a one-piece. I also love these high-tide bottoms that come in a zillion colors. I think this one piece is so flattering, and I love this coverup! Left on Friday also has tops for the “Big Boob” gal, which is so nice if you have big boobs!

What are you all up to for Father’s Day? This is the first Father’s Day that we have not been with our family (or some of them). It’s also a weird day for me (and I’m sure many of you) that I don’t have a father to celebrate. My husband is going fly-fishing this morning; however, it’s cold here! I am celebrating him by getting a massage (haha)! I tried to get one yesterday, but the spa was booked, so they got me in today. I haven’t had a massage in a while and look forward to relaxing. Apparently, there is supposed to be a snowstorm tonight or tomorrow morning! That sounds weird to write! We are hoping we can get back tomorrow, but we shall see.
