EASY FALL SHIRTDRESSES

Hello ladies! I hope everyone is doing well! I can’t believe it, but we didn’t even make it to 90 degrees yesterday! I think everyone in Dallas is now breathing a sigh of relief! It felt so good to stand outside without feeling scorched. You Northerners are so lucky! We had a pretty uneventful weekend. We grabbed dinner out on Friday night and stayed in to watch the Alabama vs. Texas game on Saturday. I’m keeping my mouth shut on that one!

Today, I’m back with my bestie Heather, and we are highlighting some easy fall shirtdresses to wear now with sandals and come chilly weather with boots. Shirtdresses are a style that will withstand the test of time and different seasons. I would say that a dress wardrobe isn’t complete without a shirtdress! They are perfect for daytime, office, church, vacations, and special occasions, and you will most likely find them in a French woman’s wardrobe capsule. I’ve shown a lot of shirtdress styles over the years and, most recently, this one.

So, what shirtdresses are we wearing? I am wearing this black smocked waist cotton poplin shirtdress. This is a great dress to wear now, but I threw a plush cashmere sweater over my shoulders for cooler temperatures (so you know, it was 109 when we shot these photos!). This dress looks great on its own, but I would also wear a long cardigan or denim jacket over it.

Heather is wearing a beautiful and sexier version of a shirtdress. Her dress is a belted faux leather knockout in a gorgeous cognac color (on sale and in black, too). Heather wore it with strappy heels (similar), but this dress would be stunning with a pair of boots like these! I would also sport a camisole or a long-sleeve tee that peeks out of this dress.

I wanted to include this fabulous Fall colored shirtdress. I dressed it down with a flat sandal (I love these with it), but it will look smashing with a pair of boots soon (fingers crossed!).
