Happy Friday, ladies!
How was Valentine’s Day or Night for you? You don’t have to tell me everything (hee hee)! I mentioned in my newsletter that I was giving my husband my favorite gift this year. The cat’s out of the bag and his gift is two cruiser bikes. One for him and one for me! I mentioned on Wednesday that our daughter was coming into town yesterday for the night. We had so much fun with her last night. We had dinner at a new club in town and had such a great time catching up! We’re proud parents (always) because yesterday, she and (Bumble) was the main story on the App Store’s “today” at Apple home page (see the bottom of this post).
She is the Chief Brand Officer for Bumble, and we showed EVERYONE the page! February must be “make zero plans for us month.” We have no plans for the weekend, and again, I’m so happy to be low key. I have a feeling that my March may ramp up, so to be more laid back right now is good. I’m, however, craving the beach! I wanted to post this look quickly because I bought this fabulous suede jacket about a week ago and did not want it to sell out before showing it to you.
Gorgeous “suede” looks like the real deal
I said suede, but it’s really faux suede, and I promise you it is gorgeous and looks like the real deal. I was out shopping and for some reason popped into H&M, and there she was. This jacket might be my favorite purchase for spring (albeit, it’s one of the only ones so far). My photographer thought it was real and she loved it too! Are you ready for this, it’s $59.99, and I’m so excited about it! I wanted to show it with all black to make it pop. I pulled out my black leather tank (I’ve had for about ten years) and black denim, then chose these snake print boots to finish it off.
I’ll be sporting this jacket a lot! The boots are the ones I mentioned here that I got on sale (for about $250) at a boutique in Dallas. I linked them, but unfortunately, I cannot find them anywhere else on sale. This is a super easy look to pull off, but I suggest getting this jacket now before it sells out!

I am going to be super busy today! I am taking over an Instagram page for @getinthegroove1. This is a great website called In The Groove that was started by a woman named Susan Feldman. Susan is a badass! She founded ONE KINGS LANE, which has been one of my very favorite home shopping websites for as long as I can remember. She started In The Groove to keep “women of a certain age” in the groove! You all will love this website!
I hope you all have a great day and a fun weekend! xx
