WINE COLOR DRESS FOR VALENTINE’S DAY
Happy Valentine’s Day a day early! Today is my grandson’s 6th birthday! How do the years go by so quickly? It seems like yesterday that he was just a baby and now he is a little dude with an attitude and real thoughts! We celebrated with the family last night and had such a fun time watching him bask in all of his glory (and believe me it was a lot!)! Because it is Valentine’s Day tomorrow, I had to pull out this wine color dress that fits the day the best. I think it’s wine for Valentine’s! Don’t mind if I do!
What are your plans for tomorrow?
Quite honestly, I’m not the most goo-goo about the day. It’s nice to celebrate love and letting your loved ones know that you are thinking of them, but it is also so much pressure. I always feel bad for those who are divorced, widowed, or single. I think the day should be more inclusive and not just about “lovers.” That’s just my opinion.
Anyway, my husband and I have plans to have dinner out, but I just found out that our daughter is coming in for a night before she heads out for a week and a half and she will join us. She’s really coming to drop off her dog because she can’t find a sitter for him! So, I am wearing wine (and will be drinking it!) for Valentine’s dinner! How fun is this high/low ruffled wine colored dress (was just marked down)? I love to wear this color (similar dress in a print)!
Buy things that you can wear in multiple ways
I’m wearing the dress with these “crazy town” shoes. Actually, they are works of art that I bought and wore to my son’s wedding in Mexico. I wore them with a dress in almost the same color. I have only worn them one other time and thought that they would be fun with the dress. They are nowhere to be found except one place and in one size (7 1/2) and are linked at the bottom. If I didn’t have the shoe, I would wear this pair or these beauties with it. Also, I wanted to show how cute it is with a pair of flat sandals (I would grab these now for later!).
This dress is great to wear to the beach, a wedding (especially the beach or a wedding in Mexico), to dinner, or casually and it has you covered in all the right places (arms)! Remember, I’m the queen of buying things that I can wear multiple ways. I always ask myself, can it be dressed up or down and this dress certainly can. Also, I was trying to look hip and cool in a different pair of sunglasses, (because I always wear the same ones and Y’all are probably sick of them), but these cat eyes make me look mean! I used to wear this shape all of the time in the ’90s, but that was back when my face had fullness from youth. Now it’s long and thin and I’m retiring them before I even put them on again.
Check out this post for last-minute Valentine’s Day gifts.
I’m out the door this morning to shoot a few things then back home to work. I wish I could take a nap because I did not sleep worth a crap last night. I woke up with my inside ear itching like crazy! It must be allergies but it was misery. I hope you all have a fantastic day today!
Happy Valentine’s Day tomorrow! Please know how much you all mean to me. Also, how thankful I am that you take the time to read this blog! Love you, mean it!!!

Cathy, I love the wine colored dress for Valentine’s Day. It makes a nice change from the typical red. I think it’s more sophisticated than red, but still keeping with the spirit of the holiday. I have always thought of Valentine’s Day as a fun holiday, with hearts, candy, flowers and just a spirit of love in general. I’m always surprised at the people who get so bummed out about it. Seriously? It’s just meant to be fun, I think. Everyone has people in their lives they can surprise with a fun treat. Thanks for an upbeat post.

I love the idea of the “Galentines” day to spend time with you best girl friends – like you said – there is lots of love to go around! 🙂 Love your dress today – I am already planning to wear my red pumps to work tomorrow and will buy my staff some coffee and heart shaped donuts!

nice one for taking the time to discuss this, I feel strongly about it and love learning more on this topic. If possible, as you gain expertise, could you mind updating your website with more info? as it is extremely useful for me.
