GIFTING WITH NORDSTROM
Hi, there! How was your weekend? Oh my gosh…mine was jam-packed and crazy fun! Friday was my birthday and my husband had planned a big family dinner with two other couples included and it was epic! There were fourteen of us all together and the night ended with everyone “slapping the bag”! That drinking game came along many years after college for us, but my kids did it in college and it was played Friday night! Even my 78-year-old mom did it! Needless to say, none of us were up to par on Saturday! I did spend the day with my daughter, daughter in law and grandchildren shopping. It was so much fun but wild at the same time (it takes a village!)! Last night, we (all of us except my daughter) went to see Lyle Lovett! He was amazing! Speaking of birthdays, my dad’s 80th is this month, and my daughter and granddaughter’s are next month. I am partnering up with Nordstrom today to talk about gifting and how easy it is to find gifts at Nordstrom (might remember this post on gifting) which is perfect timing!
First, though, can we talk about my shoes??? I am so in love with these girls! I already own several pairs of leopard print pumps, but the bow on these are everything!!! I have already broken them out several times and can honestly say they are so comfortable! I can’t wait to wear fall clothes! I thought the pumps looked so good with this lilac top which looks so good with my silver racing stripe jeans! The blouse is cool with the slouchy feel. I loved the lilac but think I am going to get it in the rust too! Jeans with stripes are so in, but sometimes I think they are hard to match up. I liked the silver stripes because they are more neutral and shine is so hot for fall! Okay, back to my gift giving!
My dad’s birthday is first on the calendar. We are having a dinner party for him, and I am getting everyone to write their favorite memory with him. It’s hard to come up with a gift for my dad because he has Parkinson’s and he can’t really do a lot of the things he used to love to do. He still likes to look and smell nice, so I may be getting him a new shirt, a sweater, and his favorite fragrance from Tom Ford.
My daughter has the next birthday, and she is a lot easier to shop for. Her job has her traveling regularly, so new luggage is probably in order. I think this set is so great and affordable that I am thinking of getting myself one! I love these packing cubes too! I’m also thinking about a few other things. She is a sneaker freak, so these white Nikes are super practical, and she could wear them with everything. Simple jewelry is her thing too, and I am a Zoe Chicco jewelry fan. I love these dainty diamond bezel bar studs (only $295!) or this diamond bezel stacking ring (comes in white gold, yellow, and rose gold $195). I love pieces that you can add to! Because she travels and speaks on panels, I think this easy dress can go from casual to dressy with the shoe that is added. And of course, I think she needs a great blazer for speaking engagements! Now, I need to narrow it down!
For my little princess, mermaid, butterfly, and unicorn (she wants to be all of those!) turning four, Nordstrom has such cute things! She loves anything sparkly! I love the foil star mesh dress, metallic skirt, and mermaid tee for her. She loves purses (of course she does!), and this unicorn crossbody is perfect for her! What are the odds that I could find mermaid and unicorn necklaces sold together? Yay! She is such a girly girl and already loves having her nails polished. This water-based polish is perfect because it washes off with soap and water. She has to have this glitter unicorn headband too! I also found these light up unicorn sneakers that she will go crazy over. See, it was a piece of cake to find!
Y’all, it is so easy to find gifts for everyone on your list for birthdays, weddings, holidays, or for whatever celebration you are buying for. Nordstrom makes it super easy to order online or grab in the store. Gift boxes are available too, which makes it that much easier. I really don’t have a place for storing wrapping paper, so I love having it wrapped in a silver box. Another thing that makes shopping at Nordstrom (if you have one close by) easy, is that you can buy online and pick up in the store and even have it brought to your car! Now that is service made easy and convenient! And, if shopping isn’t your thing, everyone can use a Nordstrom gift card!
I’m keeping my little unicorn for a bit today! Not quite sure what we are going to do. Grandma needs a mani and pedi in the worst way. I bet I can talk her into joining me! I hope you all have a great Monday!!!!
Thank you, Nordstrom, for sponsoring this post.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!! I am so happy your birthday was one for the record books. I love that you are so close to your family; it reminds me so much of my relationship with mine. And those shoes, sigh, they are so mine! BTW, I had just purchased those jeans over the weekend. Great minds think alike.
