GORGEOUS GREEN BLAZER

Happy Halloween! After the last week and a half, this pumpkin finally hit the wall. The rain came in here on Tuesday and Wednesday, which made me even more tired than I was. I had an event to go to on Tuesday night and a birthday dinner last night. Can you believe we have a birthday dinner tonight as well? I am just wiped out! I can’t go go go all of the time like I used to, that is for sure! The event on Tuesday night was for Alexandre Birman, who just opened a store in Dallas. It was a beautiful event at the Nasher Sculpture Garden even though the dinner was moved inside because of the rain. Alexandre Birman has the most beautiful shoes and is best known for his trademark use of exotic skins such as snakeskin, crocodile, lizard, and ostrich. The shoes are so stunningly beautiful! I’m not wearing my Alexandre Briman shoes in these photos, but you will be seeing them soon! Today is all about this gorgeous green blazer.

The green blazer I am showing today is another one from Veronica Beard. I honestly could buy all of her blazers because they fit me so well, are beautiful, and are so nicely constructed. I love this style, but the color and the buttons are what got me on this one. This is a traditional “dickey” blazer where the dickey can be zipped right in. There are several dickeys (this and this) that would look fantastic with this blazer. I added the silver tee from Ted Baker because I loved it with the buttons on the blazer, but I would like to find a print top to wear with it as well (maybe this one?). I have already worn the blazer a lot, and I think it will be perfect during the holidays. I paired this look with my black leather (similar because mine are a few years old) pants that have become a staple for me. I wear them all of the time, mostly dressed up.

What is happening in your world today? I am laying low and doing just a few errands and working on a room upstairs. I have been re-organizing a den to make part of it my office. I just bought a desktop computer last week so that I can work upstairs and not be disturbed (have to have it absolutely quiet to work). I have a metal “Campaign” style desk that I love, but on a day like yesterday and today, it makes me so cold to touch it. I need to find a comfy desk chair and I will be through with this room. Any ideas on desk chairs? It has to be comfortable and have arms because my dog sits with me. Stay safe out there tonight if you are on the road. BOO!
