Memorial Day Sales 2020

“Well sh*t, what are y’all doing?” Have you all watched Leslie Jordan on Instagram? He is hilarious, and I feel his sentiments exactly when he asks that question. Guess where we are? We drove 9 1/2 hours yesterday to Montgomery, Alabama, the capital of COVID-19 at the moment. We decided it wasn’t scary enough in Dallas, and we needed some excitement! Just kidding about needing the excitement! The car ride was long with the dog in my lap the entire time. I did perfect my “pee on the side of the road trick.” I did not want to go into a nasty gas station (COVID lurking) bathroom.

The reason we are here is that we were invited by our good friends in Nashville to stay with them at their home in Rosemary Beach. Because we weren’t ready to fly, we decided to drive. My husband’s parents live in Montgomery, and he wanted to drive through to see them on the way. We got here last night and will head to Florida tomorrow.

I wanted to mention this fun necklace that I am wearing. It is from a brand called Moderne Monocle. These necklaces are a stylish alternative to reading glasses. I was given this necklace from the brand, and I have worn it so much. Think about when you can’t find your readers, can’t fit them into a bag, don’t want to take a bag, or are out shopping and need your readers. They even have a dog tag style for men! I am obsessed with this smart brand!
