NEW YEAR’S EVE LOOK

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! I hope you all are winding down and taking some time to really enjoy the season. I know in some places, covid is ramping back up in a big way. Unfortunately, it is happening during the holidays but, if you celebrate Christmas, it’s a great time to sit still and reflect (just trying to put a positive thought out there!). Today, I wanted to show you a few pieces that I think would make great choices for a New Year’s Eve look.

We won’t celebrate New Year’s Eve dressed to the nines this year. Instead, we are spending it with some family and friends, and the attire is pajamas. Honestly, it sounds heavenly! I will be wearing this cute pajama set. There is no need for warm cozy pajamas in Texas this year (at least at this writing)! New Year’s Eve has never been my thing. I love being at home or at someone else’s house to celebrate. How about you all? Do you love to attend a big party or are you in my camp?

If I were going to a party, I would be wearing this gorgeous dress and boots from ba&sh. This midi dress is made in a breezy, flowing floral print fabric with shiny threads (much shinier in person). The boots (made in Portugal) are in a suede calfskin that can be pushed up or down. This is one outfit that I will be wearing to dinner in January.

Just because you might stay home or celebrate on a small scale doesn’t mean you shouldn’t dress up!

I have found some festive pieces for an NYE out or dinner at home. I love these sequin joggers that can be dressed up or down depending on your shoe choice. Paired with a simple cashmere sweater or a velvet jacket, these can go many places! If you are headed to a party and want to make a grand entrance, this dress is a show-stopper! If staying home in a pair of jeans is your thing, this top is perfect for ringing in the new year! I have more choices below.

This is my last post for 2021.

I will take next week off and be back after the first. I am so excited to show you all what Maisie (my dog) is getting for Christmas! We will have a new puppy in the first week of January. I am excited but also a little nervous that Maisie will be mad at me. She is 2 1/2 years old, and I hope she takes to this new little girl. We have always had two dogs, and I wanted to get another one so that she would have a buddy to hang out with.

I wanted to take a minute to thank you all for your continued support of this blog. I know there are so many blogs to read, and your support means so much to me. As I have said before, my only intent is to give you some inspiration, as I have never claimed to be an expert in anything (except going through breast cancer!). As women over 50 and beyond, we all need to stick together and support each other.

Wishing you a beautiful Christmas full of love and joy! Stay well and be safe! xx
