Hi, everyone! I hope you had a great weekend! We had the grandchildren from Wednesday until yesterday around noon. I was so exhausted, so much so, that I took a four-hour nap! The children were so much fun, but Lordy…it takes a village! I never had a nanny for my three when they were growing up and wonder how in the world I did it (I know I was much younger and that helped!) because it is NON-STOP. Today I am partnering up with Nordstrom for the perfect gift giving ideas. You may remember this post a few weeks ago about wedding and shower gifts. I am attending a birthday lunch for a good friend and of course, I am not showing up empty-handed, so Nordstrom was a go-to for the gift.
First, how cute is this dress I am wearing? It’s by Kate Spade, and I bought it right before she passed away. I am so glad I bought it (not sure what will happen with the Kate Spade empire)! I think it’s the perfect dress for a birthday luncheon! The bag I am carrying is so cute too (comes in pink as well)! There are so many cute dresses for summer lunches, and my other choices were this one (also Kate Spade) and this one.
Now, what to take for a birthday gift. There are so many great things to choose from. Candles and diffusers are always a great gift. My personal favorites right now are this Nest diffuser and this candle from Tom Ford. I can’t get enough of that vanilla-tobacco smell! I’m also huge on giving a girlfriend a beauty product she might not buy herself. Maybe an eye contour mask or a designer mascara. I also think a great pair of earrings is always a good choice. Another gift that is always a winner is a comfortable pair of pajamas! How stinking cute are these? I would love them! For something amusing and different, I found this entertaining bath mat! A gift card is always fun to give! I have a group of girls that celebrate each others birthdays together, and we always pitch in for a gift card. Maybe the recipient could buy this cool ring or these earrings from Nordstrom’s “Space” (shop for emerging designers)! Don’t forget that Nordstrom offers gift boxes, so you don’t have to scramble to find wrapping!
I have pulled together my favorite ideas for gifts below. Hope you all can use some of them. A quick reminder too, Nordstrom Anniversary sale is coming up! If you don’t have a Nordstrom card, you can apply for one here. You get early access with the card.
Thank you, Nordstrom, for sponsoring this post!
